My situation is as follows:

I applied for my in laws (My wife is a permanent resident) B2 Visa. I understand it is really them applying but I filled out everything and paid all the fees. They are both older and have ties to Egypt such as 5 other children. One of them being a 5 year old girl. I also advised him to bring his land ownership and bank statements. None of this was asked when they went for the interview. They simply asked them a few questions and denied them. One of the questions they asked was whether my wife was a citizen to which they replied no. I'm really curious what to do differently since they really have no ties to the US but me (american born) and my wife (who came her on the CR1 visa and is currently a perm resident)

Could I be doing anything wrong?

No.

They simply decided that your in-laws' ties to Egypt were not sufficiently strong to warrant issuing them a tourist visa.

Roger that so my question is how do they come to this conclusion with no documentation. As I mentioned, they requested 0 documents. What could i do differently?

Nothing.

They based their decision on the facts provided in the applications, and decided that no amount of contrary evidence would be sufficient to change their minds.

A lot of the time the decision has been made before you set foot inside the building. You're simply going there to find out what the decision is.

Cos reach the conclusion based on the ds160 and the interview.

Nothing to do differently. Waste of time and funds to apply again without any change in circumstances.

They are my in laws. I see many in laws getting approved. What circumstance are we talking about. My father in law has a Job, owns property, and has 5 other children, 1 of which is a minor and needs care. What am I missing....

The first thing you should do is get rid of the idea that there is something YOU can do. This is THEIR application for a visa. You do not apply for them. They have to apply on their own. They have to prove ties to their country on their own.

If you continue to contribute to their process then it will look like they have a tie to you and your wife.

Curious... did your in laws include an invitation letter from you and your wife in their application?

Once your wife is a US Citizen she can sponsor them to immigrate.

No there was no where to include that when submitting the application online. How can I do that?

Don't! It hurts more than help.

Again, since the officer asked your in laws about your wife and her status he had a suspicion that your parents may use the visitor visa to stay and adjust.

Roger that. So there is nothing I can do....People say that it depends on the officer as well. I just don't really understand how they could deny them when there are no red flags. As I mentioned, they have significant ties to their country...

They showed they had adequate funds to pay for such a trip?

It was never asked....this is the part that boggles my mind. They asked them a couple of questions. They went to 3 windows. As per my conversation with them, they asked them what I did for a living, who they were going to visit, and how many kids they have in egypt....that was it..
