They say up to 45 days, but ours showed up I think 5 days after we got the notice of card production/mailed, and that notice occurred 2 days after official approval. So about a week total.

 YAAAAAAAAAS!! Thank you!! And thank you for always responding so quickly to my questions/posts/comments throughout this entire process. I couldn't have stayed sane without the support of the March 2016 family!!

 

I'll post another update once we get the card.

OK, mailed the RFE package on Saturday and this afternoon received a text message alerting me that our case status was updated on the USCIS website. I signed in, clicked on the i-485, and it said YOUR CASE HAS BEEN APPROVED!!!

 

That means the green card will soon be in the mail without interview, right? RIGHT?!?!??!

Congratulations !!. you are officially done ! i am happy for you guys. 

As an update for my case. I had sent my RFE today and it included a lot of evidence including a new passport, letter of mistake acknowledgment from the government, the birth certificate, declaration, and also the new layer sign up agreement. Hopefully will hear something good soon.

Thanks, Newyorkaos! Still waiting for the card in the mail, but the approval notice did say it could take up to 90 days.

Congrats! It seems this thread is coming to an end. Only msmontander and I are left.

Some of us long-termers are still checking the thread and commenting, like me, Sparkles, and Paddygirl. I think newyorkaos weighs in now and again, too. We'll be here for you and Msmontander until your GCs are approved!!

 

My hubby still doesn't have the green card in hand....got the approval notice, which did say it could take up to 90 days to receive the card, so not sweating it yet. However, I don't consider our journey to be over until that card is in hand, so will still be active for awhile!

Yep, us old timers are still here and will be till we're ALL over the line. 

 

We've come home to Ireland for a holiday, I'm a bit nervous to use the green card to get back in for the first time, but hopefully there'll be no hiccups it sure is nice to be 'home' to see the family, it's been 2 years.

You should go get the i551 stamp. If they had approved us and the card didn't show within 2 wk, I had planned to make an infopass and request the stamp which is good for a year....I was willing to hassle someone just to get it if need be, because I literally couldn't take anymore wait.

 

Second that, I'm on VJ often and sticking around til everyone gets their GC

What is the i551 stamp? I can't believe there is something about this process that I don't know about....

Its the GC stamp in the passport,. Girrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl, make the infopass and go get your husband one  good for a year while you wait for the card to show, and you can travel on it!

Enjoy your visit home to Ireland!! I'm sure there won't be any problem with your green card when reentering the U.S. My hubby's GC was approved while he was in Taiwan and he reentered the U.S. last week without it in hand. He had his advance parole card, plus a scanned copy of the GC approval notice that I emailed to him. He got a bit delayed in customs because the green card already showed in the CBP system and they wanted to ask him why he didn't have the card, but it was all sorted out and he was sent on his way. So, I don't think you need to worry as you have the actual card in hand.

Oooh, I have to read up on that. Are there any good VJ posts about it that you have bookmarked, by any chance? 

Not offhand, from what I saw it was not a big deal to get so not worth making major threads on. Have your husband make an infopass, bring his passport/approval notice, ask for the stamp because you want to be able to travel ASAP. Apparently a lot of people request it if they are approved on interview day and get it then.

Good News !!!
I just got an update status from USCIS and they have scheduled an interview on October 4 2017. I am so excited finally this thing is going to an end. 
Any suggestions on how to prepare and what to do ? i am excited but also a bit nervous !!
