Joint mortgage agreement and / or property deed

- tax returns with verification they were submitted to the tax jurisdiction

- birth certificate of any child( children) born from the marriage

Joint policies of life, or/ medical , car or home insurance to include documentation the policy is still in force

Jointly held bank accounts / utility bills

Copy of your back and front of green card

Cover letter

Affidavit is a good idea to, from 2 people

Hi January Filers.

I am about to send my application this Tues (1/17/17). I don't have much evidence to submit so I am wondering if you think these is enough.

-copy of my GC

-joint tax returns for 2015 and 2016 (with amendment for 2015)

-for 1095A from Insurance Marketplace (includes my spouse name)

-joint checking and savings account statement for the last year (since they cannot generate since 2014)

-copies of driver's licenses showing the same address

-copies of utility bills (one under both our names and the other 2 with names of each)

-copy of my insurance policy with him as my beneficiary

-affidavit from 2 of my friends/family who both know our history

-copy of some cards that was sent from my home country to both of us (I just copied the messages)

-6 photos of us with friends and family

and I am filing at Vermont center

I would not characterize it as not having much evidence :-).

Just a thought but in 2 years 4 photos of both of you seem rather few. I did not have physical photos either but I did have tons of pictures of us on our phone. I downloaded and printed them on regular paper to send in pictures.

If that is not possible then I would either recommend you to start taking more pictures now so if an RFE comes through you can send them in or bolster your case by other proof of living together and a healthy relationship. Perhaps some tickets from a recent holiday? Just a thought...

The list you have are good and I would recommend going as far back as possible on your statements to prove that you have been together all this time. Perhaps some joint credit card statements?

But ’tis a common proof
That lowliness is young ambition’s ladder,
Whereto the climber upward turns his face.
But when he once attains the upmost round,
He then unto the ladder turns his back,

Hi everyone,

Did anyone use Vanguard beneficiary info for 401 k? How did you get that?

I am the account holder and my husband is beneficiary.

I tried to print the beneficiary page, but it only shows my husband's name, not my name with it.

How did you tackle this situation?

Please let me know.

Hi Jazztin,

Just file many evidence as you can, make sure your I-751 signed by both parties. ( you and your spouse)

If you have time, open the instructions form from the USCIS official website. search for I-751  Instructions for Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence

" Evidence of the Relationship Submit copies of documents indicating that the marriage upon which you were granted conditional status was entered in “good faith” and was not for the purpose of circumventing immigration laws. Submit copies of as many documents as you can to establish this fact, to demonstrate the circumstances of the relationship from the date of the marriage to the present date, and to demonstrate any circumstances surrounding the end of the relationship, if it has ended. The documents should include, but are not limited to, the following examples:

1. Birth certificates of children born during the time of this marriage, if any;

2. Lease or mortgage contracts showing joint occupancy and/or ownership of your communal residence;

3. Financial records showing joint ownership of assets and joint responsibility for liabilities, such as joint savings and checking accounts with transaction history, complete joint Federal and State tax returns, insurance policies that show the other spouse as the beneficiary, joint utility bills, or joint installment or other loans. If applicable, submit copies of military Leave and Earnings Statements showing receipt of Basic Allowance for Quarters (BAQ) with family members and/or Form DD-1172 for military family member identification cards;

4. Other documents that you consider relevant to establish that your marriage was not entered for the purpose of evading U.S. immigration laws; and

5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by at least two people who have known both of you since your conditional residence was granted and have personal knowledge of your marriage and relationship. (Such persons may be required to testify before an immigration officer as to the information contained in the affidavit.) The original affidavit must be submitted and also contain the following information regarding the person making the affidavit: his or her full name and address; date and place of birth; relationship to you or your spouse, if any; and full information and complete details explaining how the person acquired his or her knowledge. Affidavits must be supported by other types of evidence listed above. " USCIS website

Have a good night
