I got an RFE today. I have no idea what it is. Hoping to receive my notice very soon. I am terrified of being denied and although I know many people get RFE's, I am scared. I do know that, after I sent my package, I sent in the wrong size passport photos...not by much, but wrong, nonetheless. I don't know what else it could possibly be as I feel like I sent everything they asked, and then some. :(

It isn't worth worrying before getting the actual letter. Could be a lot of things as simple as not checking a box or forgetting a signature. Getting a rfe isn't the end of the world and it's an opportunity to fix things, they won't deny the application before requesting evidence that is missing

Be patient and cheer up

Thank you so much. This whole process is going to age me if I let it!

Exactly.

This is just one step on the immigration journey. Still a lot more to come. If you let it, it can consume you, drive you crazy and put a strain in your relationship (been there, done that!). I know it's easier said than done, but please concentrate in being happy, communicating, planning things to come and not on the hurdles and difficulties

Best of luck

Exactly. Could be something simple like redo of the passport photos, simple missed check box, missed signature or date even.

Most likely is something simple that you can correct and return fairly quickly so they can continue processing your petition.

Relax....it's probably something very simple, especially since you think everything else was really complete. Probably just the photos, just like you thought. They're kind of strict about those photos.

I got a REF several months ago - all it took was gathering a few documents, and mail them back in. . . We were married two days ago. Keep the faith!

During our K1 phase we got a RFE for a simple fix. We forgot to check box 33 'Are you relatives?'

I wouldn't worry too much if I was you (I know, easier said than done) 90% of the RFE's are simple fixes.

The RFE arrived! It is an easy fix. Apparently, I forgot to complete page 5 that asks if I have ever committed a crime. Easy fix! They included a pre addressed envelope and off it went! Thank you for all your support and kindness! <3

See, you'll be able to respond in no time and they'll resume reviewing your case quickly after. Best of luck
