I'm really not sure why a football player (he is football right? Maybe baseball) is someone anyone looks to for a political opinion. They are paid the big bucks to throw/kick a ball around and tackle people. I don't personally expect them to do anything more.

San Francisco 49ers QuarterBack

Ya thanks. I don't watch sports. I know who he is (doesn't kneel during the national anthem...or doesn't put his hand on his heart. Something like that) I just have never understood why people care. If I did watch him it wouldn't be for his mind or his political opinions, it would be for his abiltiy to run and pass a ball on a field.

This is America. Doesn't matter WHO it is, as long as they represent the left, their actions/opinions matter. Same goes for tv celebrities. Robert Deniro, George Clooney, et al.

Some actors/celebrities (and I guess that can extend to athletes) do more than just their career, so I think there is some leeway in this. I don't know that much about him, but I'm pretty sure George Clooney is very involved in a lot of different organizations that aren't related to his acting chops.

I think it's okay for someone who has "TV recognition" to use that to pursue causes they believe in. Isn't that exactly what Trump did? He leveraged his popularity to the Presidency. Ronald Reagan did the same.

I do agree though there are way too many actors/singers/celebrities being asked political questions when they have no background, no experience, and are barely involved in the process. Like on Late Night television people love to ask questions in interviews. I don't care about an average actor's opinion on politics. That is the equivalent to me as just walking up to a random person on the street and asking them. However, if the actor also runs a huge not for profit charity, and is also involved in UN work etc... then maybe they are a little more educated on the matter and maybe their opinion is a little more valid.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

To funny. Just look at the so called "experts" opinions. I would say they are so delusional they should be living in a psych ward. But, yet they still have jobs? and people still listen to them? No wonder the libs on here have such a hard time accepting reality.

I didn't watch the video, but the link shows Jon Oliver. I like him, I think he's funny. However, I would NEVER consider him an "expert" on anything. He is a comedian.

It was a variety of media people. I have never watched Jon Oliver, so I can't say if he is funny or not.

The point is, these liberal media people are completely clueless. If you were to watch them, and believe they had a clue, Trumps win would be a huge shock to you. All of the people you thought were so smart have been revealed as basically retarded.

They feel lied to, deceived, scammed etc. and are having a difficult time understanding reality.

Don't watch him, you won't find him funny. I'm not saying he doesn't have a political slant to his show (he definitely does). You are on the opposite end of the political spectrum to him so you won't laugh.

As for the "news media", first off I would say there are just as many "conservative" media people that are completely clueless and ridiculously biased with how they report things. Our news in general has just become incredibly dichotomous, almost more so than our politics. The news is supposed to be where we go for facts, figures and unbiased reporting so we can make up our own minds. It shouldn't be there to push us in either direction. News media is essentially entertainment at this point.

Just as many? That's just not true.

I agree that news is not what it should be. The majority of the MSM news is just an extension of the DNC. The good news is their monopoly is starting to crumble.

I guess I would agree that when you look at the major cable news networks (CNN, Fox, MSNBC), the left has 2/3 (Someone was going to have more since there are only 3). Left also has a "monopoly" on the "comedian news" since actors/comedians tend to be liberal leaning. I don't even consider those news, though sadly I know some people get the majority of their news from them.

I was actually thinking more of all the fringey news sources people look at (mostly internet granted). There are a lot of fringey left stuff, but there is also a lot of fringey right stuff. No one can deny that Brietbart and the like have massive agendas and are massively right-leaning and biased.
