Wow, how do you know? Great to hear. That would explain what my fiance' said that the girl next to her was refused. Her friend was also saying that things were different there in the embassy and she was asking if the election time in the USA somehow affecting the mood in the embassy.

My boss says I should make a donation to the Clinton Foundation to make sure it all goes smoothly.

My interview is in two weeks. 30+ year age gap. In one sense, very unusual but it makes so much sense for a single mother I am surprised it is not more common.

You do not need a phone to do chat - just a computer or tablet. I think the CO was looking for chat logs. It is very unusual for a Ukrainian lady to not have a working smart phone. I know they almost all want iPhones, but they can get a basic Android for less than $50, http://comfy.ua/smartfon-fly-fs405-stratus-4-dual-sim-black.html. Data plans are not expensive.

Did your fiance say the person next to her was refused for a K1 visa? That would be bad for me and Irina.

The new Ambassador just met the Ukrainian President, maybe last month. I had some American friends that also worked there....now gone. I don't think they rotate the whole staff at once but maybe they do. I noticed the Guards (Ukrainian) outside are the same one's.....Ask your woman how well the CO spoke one of the native languages....that will be a give-away :)

Yes according to a message 3 or so messages back the atmosphere within the embassy is different because of the "change in guard". Yes a girl who my fiance' was talking got refused. Apparently a guy on this board also got an admin review in October, and then accepted not long after that.

Robert, since you will be here for interview I would not worry too much...Even though you have a large age-gap being here makes that gap smaller. I also know couples in USA that have a 30+ year gap.....they have been married for quite a few years and are very happy.....His wife is from Moscow....I can try to put you in touch if you are interested

We have no chat logs..... just lots of viber phone logs because we mostly talk on phone. But three visits totaling one month together, one visit in October with my 15 year old daughter, matching tattoos that say love, pics with his family in Odessa, pics of us kissing and it's obvious we are in love ? Do you think that will be enough without chat logs?? Interview in 14 1/2 hours and I'm a nervous wreck!

Well it is 17:00 here now.....and phone logs establish communication. With your child visiting, that is huge evidence :)

Did you ever visit each other? Any skype calls if not phone calls? These are really important in deciding if there's any relationship between you two. Good luck!

I visited her twice and wrote twice a week! We stopped calling when her phone broke and I couldn't afford to buy her a new $300 phone. We Skyped for about 1 year, but stopped that, because I was too tired at 2am. No phone records. Nobody needs to decide if we have a relationship or not. We have a relationship it's obvious.

Wouldn't it be nice if they could just take our words for it? That's the point of the interview - to convince NVC that there's a relationship by all means. Otherwise they'll leave you twisting in the wind. As far as they are concerned, they are not the one seeking a visa. So we have to do right by them. It's a tough situation but with a dash of luck, you'll be fine.
