Well for now, we shall have to agree to disagree. No one calls another person an animal in an attempt to lift them up (unless perhaps the animal being used is an Eagle). Anyone calling someone else an animal believes they are superior to the "animal". It's an insult, a way to demean and disparage. Color doesn't matter. The intent is what matters.

If a black American calls another black American the N word, is it racist?

No one said it's OK. We said it's not racism. Not in the examples you gave.

If a person of another race called white people monkeys with the belief that all white people were inferior to their own race, or in the context that their race had racially degraded white people in the past or treated white people like animals, then obviously that would be racism against white people.

It's not that hard. You are getting defensive about something you don't need to be, and in doing so, you can't see the forest for the trees.

calling barack a zebra is racist, because he's mixed.

Black people called Obama not black enough (because he's mixed), is it racist as well?

That their black race is superior than mixed race (not pure blood)?

What's wrong is that I have a HUGE problem with hypocrisy.

The N word is a disparaging term used towards blacks, indicating that they are less than human. It doesn't matter one bit the color of the caller... To use it is racist, period. Blacks don't get a bye on that.

To your earlier point, of course race is an artificial construct, it exists nonetheless. No one can be racist against their own race. Your argument fails if you continue omitting that fact.

And I'm not agreeing to disagree. You are wrong.

Without context, how do you know what they are saying?. How do you know they don't mean the opposite, that Obama's white heritage may have shielded him in some ways from having to go through the same things. I actually heard someone say that about Colin Kaepernick. Without the frame of reference, there are only assumptions.

What you stated (the bolded part) could be racism if that reason was stated as such. I don't believe that it has been though.

the culture of self hatred in black americans stems completely from slavery.

that's impossible, all black people did not call obama for not being black enough. and did those that used that phrase mean 'not black enough' in a negative or positive light? does it have to be about superiority? can't it be about needing a black president to support black interests that have been historically ignored, considering all former potus have been white?

(A) To be racist means that one thinks they are superior to another (race). Of course, it's not quite that simple, as we all know. But if calling Michelle Obama is racist because of the historical connotations of talking bad about blacks (and I can see how that would be), then so is using the N word, because it was created to talk down to blacks; it is a derogatory term.

[[As an aside, I decided to get better insight to the use of the word, so I spoke with three of my black friends who happened to be free. All agree that the N word, whether it is used by whites or blacks, is a racist term. None of the three of them use the term, and none allow their friends to use it towards them.]]

(2) Your opinion. Mine is that I am right. See? We disagree.

To your earlier point, of course race is an artificial construct, it exists nonetheless. No one can be racist against their own race. Your argument fails if you continue omitting that fact.

And I'm not agreeing to disagree. You are wrong.
