This group seems to be more active in response than the jan 2017 filer. I just sent my mom's paper and it will be in chicago lockbox today by 3pm atleast base on the fedex tracking. My mom is a filipino citizen and presently working in dubai with the rest of my family, and thought about letting her stay and have her interview in us embassy at abu dhabi location. Hope this goes fast, i was wondering if how's the chicago lockbox filers? How is the processing time?

Good luck other will be fast try to check uscis.gov for the the processing time. Mine was Nebraska and it shows on their system July 2, 2016. I sent my mom papers 11/30/16 got Noa1 12/2 NOA2 1/17/17 , 1/27/17 sent to NVC and now got my case number. Be patient and be postive ??? Good luck

I sent my package to Chicago lockbox on 3rd November 2016 and received the NOA1 within 2 weeks but there hasn't been any movement in my case after that. It's been more than 3 months now. I see that people of applied after me have already got NOA2. Is there a way to see the progress of my case? I applied for both my parents if that makes any difference:unsure:

Hi Gagan,  I filed I-130 forms for my parents back on October 12, 2016 and I received NOA1 for them 3 days later in the mail and their cases were assigned to the Nebraska center with a priority date of October 13, 2016.  Both cases were last updated or "touched" on October 18, 2016 and have not received any updates since then.  It is closely approaching 4 months and I am anxiously awaiting the NOA2.

Hi NYCGUY226, even I am waiting for the NOA2 for my case. I sent my package on 3rd November. Not sure what the scenario is. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. Good luck!

Hi gagan_usa, not to worry ..I am in the same boat as you right now... I submitted my parents packets on Nov 16th, I received the NOA1 right after that but since then, nothing.

Go onto "check my Case status" on the uscis website, type in your number, and it will let you know what the current status is for your case.

i am just waiting patiently till it's my turn, hopefully soon!

hi nenfe, we have similar timelines, I got my NOA2 on the same day as you.. any news on the NVC letter. I wonder how long it takes them to send out the letter. In the travel.gov site under step by step guide it says about a priority date for NVC, do you know whats that about?

Hi St3phsm07,  your timeline shows that you filed your I-130 on May of 2016 and it didn't get approved until January 2017.  Is that a typo? I want to follow your timeline for reference but it doesn't seem that it is accurate.

Nope not a typo, I filed May and didn't get approved until Jan, it must be based on the home country. I don't know what's up with that, I was shocked when I saw the other cases being approved barely under 3 months, thats crazy! I also filed my dads in October 2016 and I still haven't heard anything from his he is also from Nebraska center and I know they are still working on July cases so yea his is still a few months away.

Sorry to hear about that guys. Everyone of us wants to be with our family soon as possible I am just being lucky that I got approved sooner and I have no idea why. Best of luck to everyone and hoping all of you can hear any good news ASAP.

Its a matter of being patient, we will all have our family together soon! I can update that I was able to talk to nvc yesterday and was told the case just got there the day before so they didn't have a case number for it yet and that they will in about 2 weeks so just waiting on that!!

I was able to get my case and invoice numbers tonight and completed the DS-261. Waited about 30 minutes to get an agent. I'm hoping for some progress on the cases of those who haven't seen much yet. Sending good vibes your way!

Received an email as well last night. They have routed my cases to Nebraska Service Center.

I'm not happy either about Trump's selection as next US president but it is what it is. My fear is same as yours. I just hope he does not bring changes in immigration laws that could affect our applications in a negative way.

Nebraska is the station to nowhere - ask to be transferred - it is so slow in Nebraska. see timelines
