N-400 November 2016 Filers

Sent application in the beginning of Nov, did FP within 2 weeks and was put in line in 2 days after FP. After that no progress :(.

After interview, does any one know how long it could take for Oath ceremony after approval?

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I know you and your husband must be ecstatic! Only a month to interview as well, at least things are starting to speed up for you guys! 

 

Hopefully someone from the Charleston area will be able to chime in and give you an idea on oath times  As some places do same day oaths and other area like here in NYC you can be waiting another 1-2months to get an oath!

Today i complete 3 months since FP and still in FP Schedule status. Is it time for me to freak out ? What should i do ? Please help.

I'm waiting for inline also, but it's a bit beyond 2 months now. I know I'm crazy, but I went to case status and checked like 20 numbers before and after myself and what the status was saying ( just changed the last two digits of my number) and I found that they sort of processed always on the same dates. Those who are still in FP status always have either December 13th or December 5th when their fingerprint appointment was scheduled, and those who have been in line already, also have always specific dates. So it looks like they process like a batch at one time on one day. There were a few numbers behind me who are still in the same status as i'm and quite a few after me in the same status and with the same date. This sort of calms me down, though  I know it's crazy.

Some people have claimed that they did not get the 'in-line for interview' status and just jumped from 'FP scheduled' to 'inteview scheduled'. So I guess you can't really rely on the status to be the sole indicator of the progress of your case.

 

With that being said, Dallas FO was processing cases received on April 30 as of December 31. Assuming the processing rate is constant, then they would be processing July/August applications around now. Check August/Sept/Oct filer threads and see if there's any movement for Dallas FO to get a better idea.

Honestly, I don't know, I contacted them a while ago (just called general number, but it was no help). I guess have to reach the second tier officer... I also figured that if the case is not inline yet, it's still in NBC and not field office, so the field office processing times don't matter at this point, but i'm not definitely sure. I decided for myself I will wait at least 5 months from the submittal (so I will wait two more months) and then I will call and maybe try the senator.

My husband had his interview Monday and he was told his oath would be in 4-6 weeks.

So what is the actual process here? I've been inline since January 4 waiting for the interview to be scheduled, the Atlanta Field Office is currently processing applications from April 21, 2016 as of December 31, 2016. That's 254 days. Apply that rule of thumb forward to my case and we're now talking about August / September 2017. Are there any guidelines as to when you should make any attempt at contacting USCIS (or anyone else for that matter) for an infopass appointment with an N400 application?
