Guess u came on a tourist visa lol

Actually no. Cr1. There is just this sentiment that ppl who do have cheated or are holding up the process as if the current political climate isnt playing a role. As an American i understand that during a transistion of administration processes are held up in review to determine if the existing policies will be kept. Its just a game of hurry up and wait lol.

It is very annoying when someone keep saying that  person's adjusting from B1/B2 visa are getting approved faster than other visa categories. Because in reality that's not true and when one person keep saying that other person start believing without actually knowing the facts.... You're complaining about waiting too long for EAD/AP when you have persons who filed weeks before you and still haven't received theirs.... If you check the October thread you'll see that many October filers are still waiting for EAD. Many are B1/B2 visa holders and also K1 visa holders. So what you'll need to do is stop making assumption about things you do not know....

I mean take that as xenophobia if you will, I don't believe that people applying for something in November should be approved before someone who started the process in April, has already paid over double in fees and has basically been playing one long waiting game since. That just seems common sense to me and isn't me discriminating against anyone's individual life choices or how they chose to go about their immigration.

Now i can understand this but to say its ppl with tourist visas only is not true. It is only xenophobic when u single out a group implying that they are taking something away from immigrant visa holders. I think it has to do with the influx of new applications in november and december with ppl trying to beat the fees and the new administration. They probably received more applications at that time than they received all year. They all have to be sorted and arranged in order of date received i can only imagine how daunting of a task that is.

I totally agree with this. As frustrating as it may be, we are all playing the waiting game, regardless of visa

You can address me directly. When I made that comment there was no intent what so ever to single out any group! I was going ONLY on the ppl that I had seen on here getting approved. I'm on here quite a lot and that was my impression. There was absolutely no complaining in that statement whatsoever. It was just a statement. I'm not responsible for how anyone twists and turns what I say. I have only ever tried to be helpful. It's apparent that it's stinging in your eyes when I speak so I will no longer speak in this group, that's alright with me. I wish you all luck in your future process.

I was never speaking directly to you and that statement was not meant directly for you but everyone who is spreading that misinformation... hence the reason why I never quoted you....  You're not the only one that made that assumption so it's very disturbing that you singled out yourself and thought that the statement was a direct shot at you.... I don't comment much on these threads because I know that everyone have a right to their own opinion and understanding. My only aim is to correct the misinformation that is being said not to confront or start a confrontation with anyone.

FYI: For you to insinuate that " it's apparent that it's stinging in you eyes when I speak" is absurd because I've never been in a confrontation with you whether direct or indirect so I'm a bit confused, are you sure it's not the other way around!!!!

Anyways if you feel the need to not comment in this group again that's not my problem and honestly I'm not in the mood to apologize for someone misunderstanding a statement I make that was not directed at them...

Not to be a stickler for technical definitions but the actual definition of xenophobia is having prejudice against people from certain *countries*...not forms of visas. Given that this is an immigration based forum, that term doesn't seem to apply :jest:

If you allow me to interrupt here...just because she was the only mentioning it, doesn't mean she is the only one that think that way. I know there has been K1 AOS approved in 3  months ...but people I know personally that came with tourist visa, over stayed and got married (no kids), they all got approved in 3-4 months aprox. When I told them that my process takes +7 months, they were surprised because they never experienced that. Besides that, just by checking every timeline I did notice that ppl adjusting from other visas than k1 got quicker approvals. (Not ALL of them though, but at least some before K1's) So I think it's a valid assumption, but not a rule.

I addressed that a few posts ago before the thread got crazy because I had the tourist visa...but we decided to apply for the K1 because I was going to enter to marry him. (I do understand that people do whatever they need to do with their visas because a couple of friends are doing it right now, and I am no one to judge) but seeing some B1/B2 getting quicker answers, it made me thing "What if I had used my tourist visa..." The game of the What if's.

We just need to be more tolerant and stop ruin the good vibe this thread has had for the past months! We all can vent here....because I doubt we know more people going through this process in person, than we have here :)

If someone want's to argue, I suggest doing it by private message :):) We're all in this together, the waiting game...<3 let's stick together! Wild cats! With the head in the game!! (sorry, old fan of HSM) haha have a nice day everyone!

Changing the topic entirely...

Can anyone who received EAD approval in the past week or two let us know how quickly after they received the first email saying a card is being produced did they get the email that the card was actually mailed? Just curious. Thanks!
