Hi John great question,

I however do not know if they take card. I can tell you there are several banks at the airport and if needed I imagine she could head there to do some type of cash advance on a card.

Probably just best to have the $40/P1620 or so in pesos ready before heading to the airport.

Jim

Was a long night at work....I'll ask my fiancee once I talk to her this evening and let you guys know what the CFO said.

Ok, I scrolled back on messages from my fiancee, she stated 1620 peso travel tax plus 550 terminal fee, but will have to ask her later once she's up if cash or a credit card is ok. This is for outbound Filipinos traveling international flights.

Guess we're waiting until next year then.. Hopefully we get any update by the first 2 weeks of 2017, that would be a great way to start the year. For now, happy holidays to everyone!

I'm in the same boat. Got our NOA1 on November 3rd and haven't heard anything since then. :/

I feel your pain.

I got my NOA1 on October 20th. But it looks like if I would have sent my packet in 1 week earlier my fiancee might be having her interview already. But instead I haven't even received my NOA2 yet. Do government employees take mid-November until after the holidays off? I don't understand what is going on.

I think I should move to the November filers thread...

Hi Nowrya,

The employees were there earlier this month but they have been working on other types of cases. I-129F's got set aside for the most part.

Filing 1 week earlier may or may not have helped.

There were cases filed 10 days after yours who have been approved (see my signature line below)

There are people who filed 1 month and more prior to you who still have not received NOA 2.

Enjoy the holiday and best of luck to us all.

Jim

So hi all my experience will scream be prepared. There is NO embassy specific info on VJ for me. We have not had anything from NVC but we also did not call them. Received an email from consulate requesting docs for prescreening 1week before interview. Only 2 doctors can do medical 1 of whom is away till next year the other did not give me all requirements so I travelled 900kms and have to go back next week still. Only 1 lab can do tests and they have to export samples meaning results take about 2weeks.?

Bottom line is I can only make appointment late January because I was not prepared enough. Would have loved December interview but in Gods plans there are no mistakes.

Happy holidays all.

Christmas came early for us! My fiancee got her visa today, pretty exciting! Only 4 days after the interview and they even sent it via 2GO to the mall nearby. Sorry to hear about many others being delayed, so many variances between the different countries processes.

Will my fiancé need his passport in hand to fill out DS 160? He won't have it until Jan 13th

I believe so. The DS-160 requires the applicant's passport number.
