I sent it through my work with UPS next day air and it was signed for the next morning. Now I'm freaking out - maybe they never received it????

EDIT: I wrote this before I checked my bank account - they cashed my check!!! HAPPY DANCE!

Maybe corporate UPS shipping is the only one that allows shipping to a PO Box?

Thank you! I'll be on here throughout the entire process, if only to calm my nerves!

You should be checking if they cashed your check. You will receive a NOA1 letter extending your visa for a year. This should be coming in a day or two. Then in a week or 10 days you should expect to get the biometrics letter giving you an appointment date and time for biometrics in a local office.

After that there will be an almost 6-months silence on the part of USCIS....However, keep updating your status in this thread frequently.

I sent the package on 7th, and CSC got on 11th. Check has not been cashed so far.

I have a question. Next April,(tight time)

I will go to France for work 2 -3 years, if I751 is still in the process. Can I apply i131 to show I am plan to drop my greencard?

does anybody know this?

Mailed my ROC package today! When I went through the AOS process my papers got lost in Montana for a week and almost missed the deadline (long story with RFE's, documents lost in mail, Swedish IRS misunderstandings, medical papers withheld at POE - yes, I had at least two major nervous breakdowns and my nerves are still somewhat frazzled), so this time I paid for overnight express delivery. The package should be in Vermont by tomorrow.

I was a bit worried about our relative lack of financial relationship evidence - I'm currently not working, and since I haven't had a driver's license until quite recently, I haven't been able to go anywhere by myself (also partly due to said frazzled nerves), so there hasn't been any pressing need for a joint bank account.

Furthermore, our house is owned by a close relative, so there's no lease or mortgage. Where I'm from, utility accounts and such are usually only in one person's name, so it just never occurred to us that that was something that was supposed to be done.

But at least we had our jointly filed taxes (even though I don't have an income), car insurance, health and life insurance (through my husband's employer), and our two month old joint checking account. I hope that will be enough! I included a text in the cover letter, explaining the circumstances around our financial arrangements (there's more to it than what I've told here) so I hope they'll read that.

Now I'm just hoping that I'll get my biometrics appointment before winter hits! Last time I had to reschedule it twice; the first time due to the worst ice storm in 20 years, the second time an ill-timed blizzard. (At least people expect you to stay home in dangerous weather here! In Sweden they'd just tell you to put on your spiked tires and set out two hours earlier; I've trekked to work in 20 inches of fresh snow.)

bkghosh: Thank you! Since my check was cashed yesterday I'm hoping for my NOA this week. Crossing my fingers I get it as soon as tomorrow ;)

Snow Crash: oh man, I don't blame your nerves for being shot. Sending you lots of positive vibes! My husband and I don't share a bank account and all bills are under his name only - it's just what works for us. Hopefully it won't be seen as a negative. Lots of couples don't have everything joint!

HunnyBunny: welcome!

Hi VisaJourney, long time no see! We mailed in our I-751 package two days ago, a month after we could have, but we've been moving and dealing with our first home purchase etc etc. We did not send affidavits because we put together the package as quickly as we could, but I hope our evidence is sufficient. Would anyone be willing to take a look and let me know how it looks?

• Photocopy of 2015 federal tax transcript, filing status “Married Filing Jointly”

• Photocopy of leases for our joint residences in XXX and XXX

• Photocopy of mortgage contract for the purchase of our house in XXX

• Photocopy of homeowner's insurance policy, showing us as joint policy holders

• Photocopy of the birth certificate of our daughter, XXX

• Photographs of Applicant, Petitioner and Baby, showing us as a family

• Photocopies of joint travel itinerary to XXX in May 2016

• Photocopies of joint credit card statements from July 2013, July 2014, July 2015, and September 2016, showing a sample of our joint finances from the time of our marriage to present

• Photocopy of applicant's current employee benefits enrollments webpage, showing petitioner and baby as health insurance dependents

• Photocopy of applicant's life insurance beneficiary designation webpage, showing petitioner as the primary beneficiary

ETA: we only have one year of tax transcript because we arrived back in the US mid-December 2014 (no taxable income for that year because I (the US citizen) was not working while we were abroad), and 2016 is obviously not over.

Hello everyone!

After 2 years inactive, back to VisaJourney to start my Journey with my I-751 application. Good to see some folks from when I was applying for my spouse visa! :goofy:

My husband and I are gathering documents...probably sending everything next week.

questions..

1- do we have to send a copy of the letter I received to remove my conditions?

2- is it 1 check with the total amount of the form+biometrics?

3- should I send some pictures?

4- we don't have any children. Do I have to check every box in that section N/A or can I just leave it blank?

Thank you!

Thank you!

1. I sent a copy of the letter just in case

2. Sent in one check for $590

3. Sent quite a few pictures.. 60 I think.

4. I have a child so I wrote him in the first block but left the others blank - so I don't know the answer. I would just leave it blank if I were you.
