i-129f stuck in "Case was Approved"

so my petition is giving me anxiety. It's been stuck to "Case was approved" since September 22nd and I dont know if this is normal. I have already called the NVC and they cant even findt my case, plus the consulate listed on my NOA2 is Calgary which I just learned does not process k1 visas. i hope someone here can enlighten me with regards to my case. we've been in a LDR for almost 6 years now and we just want to be together ASAP :(

Stuck in case approved for barely 5 business days? It can take up to 30 days for USCIS to get the case to NVC, assign a case number, and forward to embassy. Give it another week at least and try calling NVC back.

its only been 7 days , most get the case number in 10 - 20 days ,you may want to call uscis and get that embassy changed

already called them they said NvC would take care of it. i'm just really worried

Also if anyone can enlighten me, my NOA2 states "The above petition has been approved, and forwared to the listed consulate" but when I check the other NOA2s from other cases it says "sent to the NVC". is this normal?

Doesn't matter much what it says on the NOA2, some say it's been sent to the consulate, some say it's been sent to NVC. Truth is that ALL approved i-129f are sent to NVC (not straight to the embassy/consulate), NVC will know what consulate to send your petition to, no worries.

I had the same worry but it went to NVC NOT the consulate in Dominican Republic...

Also 7 days is about the time for mail from CALI to arrive in NH.

I wouldn't worry till its been a least 6 weeks...(saying that as I laugh) I worry about everything too :)

Relax and try not to worry. You have no reason to worry at this point.

thanks, im trying to its just that checking the status everyday and seeing it stuck on case was approved and not "being sent to the department of state" stresses me lol. . i guess ill just wait and hope for the best

Yes. Take the weekend off. I used to limit myself on check status. Maybe wait until wednesday... if you can lol

You are just starting this process and patience is most needed for this as you have a long way to go still. I know its hard not to check it every day but you will just stress yourself out. USCIS case tracker doesn't say anything else than "case approved" after approval. That status doesn't change from now on, it won't tell you when your approved petition is sent to NVC.
