RFE !!!

Hello !

So we got an RFE and we are trying to guess the reason.

My fiancée (the petitioner) sent copies of passport stamps without the bio page.

Is that a reason to get a RFE ? Boarding passes are not enough to prove that she traveled and met me in my country ? Is passport bio page needed ?

I doubt it, we didnt' send a copy of the bio page. I think we only sent a couple of copies of some stamped passport pages, and then some boarding passes.

Could be as simple as a mistake on one of the forms.

Tbqh on things like this, it may be easier to sit back and relax and not over think what ya sent. Could be something super simple, could be something you'd never think of. Just wait out the letter =]

This is another reason to keep a copy of everything you submitted.

Receiving an RFE is a golden opportunity to add more evidence to your file.

First, of course, respond to the RFE requirement.

Then, prepare a page that says "PLEASE FORWARD TO CONSULATE UPON PETITION APPROVAL."

Behind that, add extra photographs, correspondence, or other evidence of your bona fide relationship.

USCIS won't care about this but will pass it along to the consulate for the CO's eventual review.

We got the RFE mail and it turned out to be a question in the i-129f my fiancée forgot to answer :/ its about criminal records. We will send it back on Monday but I wonder how long we need to wait for approval ?

I think we got lucky our file got opened after only one month from submission

I think I've seen someone else get an RFE for only sending the stamp(s) and not the bio page, as USCIS couldn't tell the stamp was actually in the passport it was supposed to be or someone else's passport. I don't have a link to that post though. =/

I got an RFE for the exact same reason before, It took less than two weeks after they received the RFE for Approval. Good Luck
