How important is proof of communication? We always communicate by form of whatsapp. Not knowing it would be necessary in the future for a k1 visa, we both have always deleted our conversations to free space on our phones. I was going to send the packet to begin the filings in Monday, but now this problem has arisen. I have traveled to Argentina 3 times since April to see her. Can I just start keeping the conversations now?

Also, if I don't have my boarding passes, are receipts or airline itenerarys sufficient?

on WhatsApp you can export your chats. I send mine to my email before deleting

I would start keeping logs now, just in case. As for boarding passes, do you have the original emails from when you bought the tickets (assuming they were purchased online)? Also, what about passport stamps? That can be evidence, too. In fact, passport stamps might be the best evidence in lieu of the boarding passes.

I have passport stamps. I have boarding passes from a trip we took from Buenos Aires to Cancun. Credit card statements showing I paid for both of us. I'm just worried about the lack of proof of previous conversation. It seems obvious to me that if I go see her every month or two.. that we are in a relationship. But, I don't make the decisions.

I didn't send any Chat logs of any kind with my Application. I just sent proof of meeting within the past 2 years. Photos of us together, passport stamps, flight itineraries, and boarding passes.

Sounds like the other evidence you have of meeting in person (including photos I'm assuming) is going to carry a lot more weight than chat logs. I read that sometimes COs won't even ask for chat logs, even if you bring them, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Focus more on the times you've met in person and use the chat logs as a backup.

The "face time" goes farther than chat logs.

If you want, create and include a one-page list of your in-person visits, with their length and some highlights or photos therefrom.
