Stop worrying about FINANCIAL stuff and worry more about what evidence shows you live and spend time together. That's more important! if you both get mail there, send evidence of you individually getting mail at that location. Get your family and friends to send cards and such addressed to both of you. Right now, since you've barely been married, they want wedding stuff. People send this form immediately after getting a marriage certificate after their wedding, do you think they have more items than you do? Probably not.

Send the items, if they want more, they RFE.

OK, it's just that the mail in Russia is awful. Small things get lost routinely in the mail here. The only things which usually get through are packages with tracking numbers.

I think I'm being overly worried about it, but I'm just trying to prepare all of this stuff because of the "red flags" in our case. So I just want to really prove that we're real, we live together, we actually want to be together, etc. That's all.

Also, we have to take the train to Moscow and stay in hotels to submit all this. I just really don't want us going all the way there, and then we have to go back for whatever reason. It's time, money, and one more trip we don't want to make, that's all. So I'm trying to be thorough. The people on the site have been really helpful so far and have given me lots of ideas I hadn't thought of.

Good news that the mostly want the wedding stuff. We do have a lot of that, so I'm glad. I'm going to submit almost anything else I can think of which people have suggested, and I hope it'll be enough!

They made a certified copy of her non-US passport and it was accepted by the IRS? How much did it cost?

Yes, they provided a notarized copy of her Pakistani passport. It had an official seal and signature of the US Consulate. The fee was USD 50.00, payable in either dollars or local currency.

Hm, I will call the Consulate here and ask. I had to go there to get a letter/offical statement for changing my passport (due to new name) and they told me the only notarial service they offer now is an affidavit/sworn statement. If they do offer certified copies, great. If not, oh well.

I hope the other evidence I provide will be enough and I won't have to try for the shared bank account.

Your husband should call his passport office or wherever they get passports done. He's the Russian correct?

Yes definitely call or even email them. It is very possible that the embassy may not be issuing certified copies at that time but they do so now. Needless to say, the geopolitical landscape is constantly changing, especially between the US and Russia a d that definitely impacts immigration.

For example there is a couple on VJ from a certain middle eastern country whose noa1 was issued on the same date and same uscis processing center. Their file reached the NVC on 9 September while I am still praying for my NOA2. I wish you all the best

I checked my US bank account today.....SUCCESS! The added my husband's name to the account! Yayyyyy.

OK, let me get his straight. Your husband is not a US Citizen or Green Card holder, right ? And then you were able to add him to your US bank account without an ITIN or Social Security number ? If that is the case, I would double check this. It doesnt sound right. I dont mean to rain on your parade, but you must have these type of things straight otherwise they can cause irreparable damage. I dont want that to happen to you.

Yes, I'm using USAA as well. I did get a message from them asking for another ID, I'm going to call them today and make sure everything is ok.
