K1 Approved STUCK in Necessary "AP"

First let me start with I am a March 2016 Filer....

That in itself was an ordeal.

TO ADD THIS:

My visa was approved on 8/19/16 and since this day my visa is stuck in necessary AP.

I am a single parent and am paying for a lot of this procedure. I went ahead and bought a ticket for 9/11 YES!!! trying to save a little trying to book out far enough....I know I shouldn't have. But I see how everyone gets visa so fast and I saw two other ladies with me get visa next day I thought I was in the clear.

I have emailed the embassy daily. I have also called. I contacted my senators office and my senator has called DR ( I live in a small state must be a light work week) They were told no one had looked at my file until 8/29/16. and I have to wait 60 days before I "complain"

So I can wait until I get or wait 60 days which will take me into October when AOS goes up I(f he even makes it into this country) im so frustrated!!

Especially when I see May applicants with their process either ahead or right with me.

I don't even know what else to do here.

I am not denied. BUT I am approved in No Mans Land I have no clue what will be of my case.

As it stands I will be cancelling airfare on Wednesday since that's the last day it could be issued and fiancée could possibly get.

my 5 yr old has been marking the calendar daily with an ex she wont understand this situation....she was so happy to have him here

I'm sorry you are in AP. That being said stop writing them daily and getting your senator on the case after what 14 days in AP seems a bit crazy to me. I do understand that you really just want him there BUT you are a very active member and as you said you should not have booked that ticket or have giving your daughter a date of arrival when you really don't know. You are lucky you can fix all of that.

Take a deep breath and tell yourself that it WILL be fine and it will be issued soon and better yet he will get there very soon!

Well did they say anything after the interview about being approved? Did they keep the passport?

The CO by far was the best we didn't even realize it was the actual interview. took less then 5 minutes. then reached over and said to my fiancée congratulations you are moving to America RI the smallest state visa approved. He told me no more facetime lol since I sent so many facetime pictures...

I am puzzled. One lady got the next day and to others on Wednesday and Friday I belive.

we got a piece of paper on how to find out about the passport and one incase of Domestic Violance.

yes they have his passport.

Well then it's good news ... Don't worry to much. And good it's been updated then they have looked at the case.

Now nothing will happen atlas until Tuesday since Monday is a Holiday.

I'm sure it will go to issues very soon.

Just a note, your case updated date will change anytime they are working on your case INCLUDING responding to an inquiry, so the date of the 29th could be when theyou responded to the senators office. As for being in AP, at this point you may just be stuck in some background check and there is no way to speed it up or predict when it will end. Do not make any new plans or purchase a new ticket until the visa is in hand (not even when it says issued you need to have it in hand and confirm it is correct before making arrangements)

I gotta admit I was a little shocked when I read you booked a ticket before visa in hand. You are one of the more active posters on here. But I guess I understand how the excitement can get the best of you. I think it will all be completed very soon. I know it;s frustrating but hold on a just little longer.

You have no clue how happy i was i thought 3 weeks was a good time and i was trying to save by booking early as the closer you book the more expensive....

Well that ship seems to be boarding i may not make it

TY for sparing me but i deserve it i should know better. I just heard approved and belived i was in the clear especially as i saw everyone with me getting theres i jumped ship on this one...

Your not the first nor will you be the last. I try to warn peeps not to buy their ticket until visa is in hand. It's stated on the Philippine Embassy letter and I have listed it on my website which is a guide for those processing through the Philippines.

Don't be surprised if the price doubles and your savings is wiped away.
