Just got notified that we will have our AOS interview on February 1st, in Detroit. Was hoping for no interview, but at least we'll have sooner rather than later.

Hi Fellow September filers!

Just an update... I received email notification yesterday for my EAD for myself and my son (K2) nothing about AP but I'm gonna just assume it's a combo card as there seems to be a trend for the systems not updating everything together?!?!?

My NOA1 for AOS/EAD/AP was sept 2nd!!! Yayyyyy!!! Seems that things are moving quicker than anticipated! Good luck to everyone with their journeys! Have a great weekend! ?

NVC received file - 04/04/2016

NVC case # received - 07/04/2016

DS-160 completed upon receipt of case # and medical booked

I hope everyone else moves quickly through the process! Its very frustrating! I don't expect the GC side of things to move this quickly for me as I am in NYC city field office which is taking quite a while, but at least I can start working!!!!

Hi!

Just got my RFE through. I sent all the documents correctly for the AOS but they are asking for the tax return for my wife in her new married name. We sent her tax return which is in her maiden name because that was her name when she filed. As we both changed our names after our wedding in Sept there is no tax return in her new married name. Do you think the best way to respond to this is to send the original tax return as before but include another copy of our marriage certificate showing both maiden name and new name and birth cert in maiden name along with a letter explaining that she is the same person and sign the letter with both her maiden name and married name for confirmation of signature? Has anyone else had this issue?

My husband did a walk-in at USCIS in Albuquerque for bio and it only took 10 minutes!

Hi guys!!

Got our appointment letter today for Nov. 9th we submitt our application on Sept. 20th. My office is in Albuquerque also.We were thinking for walk in too or maybe just wait for the appointment, how is it there?Thanks.

There was hardly anyone there when my husband went in. As far as I know for NM agencies in general though, going in Monday or Friday is not a good idea. Everywhere seems more busy those days. My husband went on a Thursday. A Tuesday or Wednesday might be ok too. He called ahead and they said he could walk-in as long as they had a tech that day.
