Can I call NVC to know our case status while waiting for CC?

Is it ok to call nvc and ask for the status of our case even if its only been 17 days since our scan date? I want to know if we have a checklist.

You can call whenever you want. Whether they will have a status to provide you is another story.

You can call, but as it has been only 17 days it is unlikely they would have anything to tell you. I would wait at least another week before calling.

It takes them about 30+ days before they even look over your file, so if you were to get a checklist, they wouldn't see/document that until then. Better to wait another week or so, (but it's just a phone call, so no one can stop you).

Don't call until it's been at least 30 days. There are people with real issues, such as being stuck for months or have a checklist they don't understand, who needs to get through to NVC but can't because other people don't have patience to wait the timeframe given by NVC... It's been 17 days, I doubt they've even looked at your case yet.
