Hello Everyone!

My PD is July 25th, 2016.

I think I still have a long wait until they approve my I-130... :(

Yes! its going to be good looooong wait. No one can predict the noa2 for Nebraska  For some extra ordinary cases, its few days/months but the normal petitions are taking up to 7 months for approval. Patience will be the key

July 1st Priority date here.

Ive read about how the US Embassy will deny Tourist visas to spouses in SE Asia while Immigrant Visas are pending to avoid a fast track immigration but what are the chances of procuring the tourist visa for spouses from a different region?

i ask because my spouse is from the caribbean and has been denied the tourist visa twice. he mentioned he was married the first time and the second time he didnt mention it but the officer denied him and and told him he needed to apply for the immigrant visa. we continue to apply because i am pregnant.

any thoughts on how to explain this to the officer or apply for some sort of expedite? expedite either the CR-1 or the B-2.

help.

You can try, but pregnancy, as hard as it is, is not a valid reason for an expedite.

  • 3 weeks later...

No hate to anyone but it's so frustrating seeing people with later Priority dates than you have, getting approved faster than others. mine is the 6th of July.

Nonetheless, good luck to all.

welcome. any tips for those of us not using a lawyer? i debated about it and now i am reconsidering. smh.

i am, also, a july filer. priority date is july 14. don't know when lawyer sent it as he did so w/o my approval, as we had agreed that i was still to get some documents

after several issues with him and realizing he does not know any better than what this website shares, i fired him.

you don't need one, esp if he is incompetent and devious. i even think he should be reading vj to be able to answer questions re immigration.

huge regret hiring one, now i have to go to small claims court as he refuses to refund some of the money ( paid in full upfront) and return my documents.

My priority date is July 11th; 113 days and counting. Good luck getting your money back from the attorney. Most attorney's do not give refunds. You should consider filing a bar complaint with your state bar. He has to give you copy of your file and any originals minus his work product.
