I've done all that! Since Friday I've done exactly that and they never called back, punched in the call back number everything and then yesterday when I expressed that to the agent she said yes I need to wait 3-5 days call volumes are high. Maybe I have no luck idk....

We got different answers everytime we called. Sometimes they said they'd call back in 1-3 hours, sometimes it was 1-3 days, sometimes even a week. They did call back everytime though and it never took more than two days, I guess that's something at least. :P

I guess all I can do is wait lol. I'm thinking about calling the embassy and seeing if somehow it got sent there?

I also see on some older posts people calling a different number for department of state.... Is that a whole different unit? Is it possible it was sent there? Is that a different place than NVC?

You probably have to give at least 4 weeks the way things are now. We called after 3 weeks from NOA2 but won't call anymore this week. Next week will be 4 weeks, I hope they have it by then.

I hope no one accuses me of hijacking the thread!

I have some questions: how are files moved between USCIS and NVC? Are they physically packed up in a box and shipped? or are they sent electronically? If they are shipped, are they sent in batches? And how are they shipped? I'm really curious about this whole process and I haven't been able to find answers on my own. Anyone have any insight? Thanks very much!

Thanks. Makes sense I guess...as much as anything in this crazy process makes sense. I wonder if they send them by truck? plane? carrier pigeon? stage coach?

The approved petition letter, dated July 5, I received stated that they have sent the original visa petition to NVC in NH. And the NVC processing should be complete within two to four weeks. I hope that it's true and USCIS did send it for processing.

Unfortunately it says that on all our NOA2 letters but that obviously hasn't been the case. I've been waiting 5 weeks now and so have a handful of other people, some waiting a week or 2 longer than me.

NVC states 6 weeks- if it's not here in 6 weeks scan a copy of your noa2 and email it to us.... USCIS is giving us some new ####### about 90 days till we send it out where it states nowhere on the approval letter or website etc.

Don't know what the hold up is or what's going on but it's clearly not that fast. Some people have gotten lucky though hopefully you are one of them :) good luck
