Seems like processing for 2nd timers is slower. :( got my noa1 on july 12.

Waiting feels forever... Lol

The waiting is awful. We got our NOA1 on July 5th and we did get and RFE on Sept 2. I returned that Sept 6th so now we are waiting to hear if they accept it.

7/1 - mailed I-129

7/7 - NOA 1

8/29 - RFE

9/13 - Notice received RFE reply

9/19 - NOA 2

10/12 - Called NVC & Received Case Number, Case Ready at Embassy

10/17 - Received NVC Case Number Letter in mail

12/2 - Interview (Denial, 221g issued asking more relationship proof)

12/8 - Additional Proof Submitted

12/9 - 221g issued again asking for more relationship proof (same items they asked for previously)

12/16 - passport returned to fiance in mail with 2nd 221g letter

12/23 - Additional Proof Submitted

12/27, 12/28, 12/29 Date updated on case

1/5 Passport Status changed to "passport being processed for delivery" CEAC status still says "administrative processing"

1/9 Passport delivered to hometown with VISA ISSUED!! CEAC status still says "administrative processing"

1/26 POE Seattle

2/25 Married (CEAC status still says visa is in "administrative processing" - haha)

Waiting is horrible, I wish time goes faster

Tasha

I know right... Sigh... But I agree with your idea of starting to choose for the perfect dress, accessories and all that. It will definitely help divert our attention and make us somehow busy.

Goodluck to us... Praying for progress.

I'm heading off to Morocco to visit with my fiancé tomorrow morning and I'm trying to take everything he will need for his interview in a few weeks since we JUST got our NOA2 last night. In reading about the Moroccan embassy it's all pretty normal, but I'm confused about one thing. It says that my fiancé will have to pay a visa fee at the embassy. Is this a separate fee from the one I already paid when I sent in the K1 information?

I understand there are fees for the medical, transcriptions, court and police records, but is there a second fee for the application itself that's taken at the embassy or is this the same fee I paid when I submitted in July?

Thank you for any insight.

For security reasons and to minimize waiting time, visa applicants should not bring cell phones, backpack, or large handbags and must not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to their appointment times. Applicants must present their appointment letters in order to enter the Consulate and should bring only the documents necessary for their interview.

**It is also suggested that any files (folders, notebooks, binders, etc.) brought to the interview be small OR easy to take apart as the slot in the window is somewhat limited in size and you will only be able to pass smaller items under the window.

YOU WILL NEED TO PAY VARIOUS APPLICATION FEES AT ANY BRANCH OF "Banque Marocaine pour le Commerce et lIndustrie (BMCI)" EXCEPT THE BRANCHES AT GAUTHIER AND RUE D'ALGER IN CASABLANCA. TAKE THE RECEIPT THE BANK GIVES YOU TO YOUR INTERVIEW.

Update>>!!
The visa application processing fee has changed. For Immediate Relative Visas the cost in US dollars is $230 instead of $330 starting April 13th 2012. Which is about 1,950.45 MAD Here is the link for more info. http://morocco.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas.html

Fiance visa application cost in US dollars is now $265 as of August 26, 2015. Which is about 2,650 MAD. Here is the link for more info. http://morocco.usembassy.gov/visas/schedule-of-fees.html

However due to fluctuating rates bring a few more hundred dirhams or check Dollars and Dirham rates before interview.

FOR CR1 VISAS:

All payments and documents (except medical) must be submitted to NVC prior to receiving interview time and date.

When you applied for the i-129f there was a fee. There is another fee for the K1. (when i did this before - in India - and applied for the K1 online we had to make the payment at a bank or post office .. get a receipt number - then enter the receipt number in online in order to book our interview - the online K1 application walked us through the entire process) I don't know if it is the same process in Morocco.

I'm so excited! About to head to the airport and visit my love! We still haven't received our NOA2, and by the way things have been going for us early-July-filers who are still waiting, I don't expect to receive it while I'm there. BUT I'm excited that we get to share the same space for a week, and during that time we will think very seldom of NOAs. We'll still have champagne and celebrate anyway! *sticks tongue out at USCIS*

Safe travels to you other VJers visiting your loved ones this week! And all the best hopes and wishes to those who are waiting or have already received their NOA2!

Until next week! :dancing:

Hi everyone, first time posting in this thread. We are also feeling impatient as I sent our petition on July 5th :clock: . It's been almost three months since I saw my fiance so it's difficult. Just wanted to let everyone know that they aren't alone. Grats to everyone who got their NOA2 already (L).

YESSSSS!!!!!!!!

I just refreshed the page and showed our application got approved! This was some desperately needed good news after a long week and a sore recovery from spinning out and kissing a guard rail at 50mph! That approval was in every sense of the word a sight for sore eyes.

The question now is what's next?

Fall 2010 - Met at DiWali Indian Festival as grad students
September 2011 - Became coworkers at school
October 2011 - Began our relationship
August 1, 2012 - Relationship became long distance
June 30, 2014 - I moved to New England w/family
July 15, 2015 - Bought a plane ticket for her visit before she left back for China due to expiring OPT
August 31, 2015 - She goes back to China
April 2016 - filed for my US Passport, began preparing I-129F for K-1 Visa Petition
May 2016 - applied for my Chinese Visa
May 23, 2016 - Purchased Ritani engagement ring and plane ticket
June 3, 2016 - Her ring arrived!
June 4, 2016 - Left for China!
June 9, 2016 - Became engaged!
June 22, 2016 - Left China (sadly)
July 21, 2016 - Sent I-129F to Lewisville, TX (USPS Express Overnight w/return receipt)
July 22, 2016 - Arrived at USCIS
July 27, 2016 - Check cashed; received NOA1, sent to California Service Center
August 1, 2016 - Received NOA1 hardcopy from USCIS
September 9, 2016 - Received online notification of NOA2 from USCIS California Service Center
September 20, 2016 - Received Case Number

Wait a week or so and start calling NVC for your case number. Once they have your case, they will assign a case number, and then it will be transferred to the embassy in preparation for your interview. Once you get your case number from the NVC, you can then start checking on your status on the CEAC website as well.

I am so relieved. I honestly refreshed that little app this morning thibking bet it isn't done yet and we're GREEN!

I just want to call him but it's 2:30am in Nebraska so don't want to wake him and the little one up!

About to go to work where I have a feeling I may cry as soon as I see another human being.

NOA1 July 7th

NOA2 Sept 8th

Even though their own website states they process applications as they are received, they don't, so anyone could be anyday. 2months and 1 day wait for us so fingers crossed for everyone else. Now comes my nagging of NVC next week! And a massive push on getting my house sold!
