The Brexiters leadership want everything in Brussels dismantled. They feel everyone should return to their "own" nation. This decision is bad for trade, bad for the free flow of ideas and bad for everyone's pocketbook except for a few Parisians who will benefit from the focus on Paris as a financial and business center

Gold got a $1400 target from me over 6 months ago, all in this forum.

While I don't think Brussels should be dismantled, I do think major changes need to be made. If this doesn't do it, hopefully others follow suit to wake some fools up.

Anyway here's a map that shows who voted what:

Clearly, the English and Welsh want no part of this anymore. The only reason the Scottish voted to stay is because they need the support from the EU. The EU is basically a welfare system where the few wealthy nations pay in and everyone else received. Scotland is pretty poor so gets benefits from the EU.

Again, my respect for the English.

I don't know why I haven't seen you before on here but you seem really straight forward and put together. I was going for Brexit as well and I have been keeping track of alot of forums both online and hosted on tv there dealing with it.

It seemed to me that the Remain crowd was trying to say that it would be bad for ALL immigrants if they left, and bad for the UK economically.

While the Leave crowd was saying that they want immigration, but they want to be able to pick who comes in the country and have control over there borders. The EU was mandating that they prioritize and accept a low skill worker from Romania just because he/she lived in the EU, all the while not accept a doctor or engineer from India. So they just wanted to have more control over there own country again.

When the Scots and Irish leave, I suggest we change the name to the Former Kingdom of Something With Tea. There is nothing United anymore.

I don't know why either! It's hard to miss me! LOL...although I'm sure some people wish they would.

I agree. And I don't think this will cause armageddon like all the bremains fear. I feel this was a good choice for them, but beyond that and even if it wasn't, it was their choice and they have the right to make that choice and for it to be respected.

I wonder if the UK border starts at Calais thing will still stand, aka will the French authority let the flow of migrants go to Dover instead of stopping them in Calais as it's done now.

This is particularly surprising considering the flack Trump received last week after being asked about the referendum by the Hollywood Reporter, which provided the following delightful exchange:

“And Brexit? Your position?” I ask.

“Huh?”

“Brexit.”

“Hmm.”

“The Brits leaving the EU,” I prompt, realizing that his lack of familiarity with one of the most pressing issues in Europe is for him no concern nor liability at all.

“Oh yeah, I think they should leave.”

Trump elaborated on exactly why he thinks “they should leave” this morning, though, saying,“They’re angry over borders. They’re angry over people coming into the country and taking over, and nobody even knows who they are. They’re angry about many, many things. They took back control of their country. It’s a great thing.”

What does any of that mean? Who cares—Turnberry golf course is going to make a killing.
