I read somewhere in the instructions it had to be a certified copy of the certificate. So we went to the county's office and got one there (and a few more just in case we'll need it for something else as well). They were $3,- each.

We did a certified copy just to be on the safe side. Soley is right in that it says they want a certified copy. Not sure if they've been giving RFEs for it. I hear some do and some don't. Always depends on the IO--annoying :/

I`m one of the lucky ones who can check their case number it seems, for the AoS it says fingerprint fee received, last update on the 25th, the other two just say received on june 21st for now

Congrats & do u know if after receiving the text & email from USCIS the case# start working straight away ? Or will it take a day or two until it's update or until we receive the hard copy of NOA ??

The instructions from uscis says a copy is fine. But there's info around vj that years ago they asked for certified ones, but there hasn't been any as far as I could search. Also lots of people approved with just the regular copy.

If it's cheap, why not, though.

Luckily for me I had a spare original certificate which was handcrafted from ancient papyrus from an Egyptisn tomb circa 5000BC (so I was told). Not only that, it also has been lined by an inch thick border of gold leaf that brings out the embossed design of ancient Mayan text (some nonsense about the stars,union,virility etc etc).

I personally liked the way it was scribed by an old aboriginal way of writing which certainly does make it unique.

Beats the old black and white Canon laser printer versions you normally get!

Hey guys once again

I know of time lines now that we get e notification & NOA 1 notification through email/text & than hard copy of NOA1 & than biometric appointment & finally interview ( may or may not)

My confusion is where's NOA2 ( notice of approval of our application) in all those steps ??

As when we filed I 129f we have NOA1 & later for Peterson acceptance NOA2??

Sorry if it looks stupid to ask but I don't get that part

I just spent 45 minutes going through different forums; reading about pertinent information that might help me in this process. I specifically remember reading an answer to your question...one that you had asked before !!!

Did you NOT read the answer that Ash.1101 provided (AOS May files) If you ask a question, maybe you should at least READ the answer instead of asking the same thing on a different forum.

I personally spent time putting together a word document with information from different threads, both timelines and answers, to help me sort things out. It helps me put it all together.

I invested time in that....you should too.

If you want to be left alone, there's an easy fix for that...logout

Same thing. Everything received on the 21st. Fingerprint fee on the 24th. I guess we'll be more or less synchronized timeline
