I don't know you are a man or women but thanks you so much sister/brother.???

No problem, I'm glad I could help.

From the screenshot you posted, it seems like other centers also do that, but California doesn't. It's a shame, they would give some peace for everyone's waiting.

Good luck and be patient, don't let this process drive you crazy with the waiting.

For me it took 30 days exact. I visited him last month for a couple of days and we called almost every day, but after the two weeks like everyone suggest. Every time you get the standard sentence. We had to allow them up to 35 days. Our NOA2 approval was on April 6 and our case arrived at the NVC + case number on May 6.

Yes, patience, patience, patience. I just got off SKYPE with my fiance. Today is not a good patience day for me. I'm a little surprised about 35 days for case assignments. After approval by CSC, it should be bundled up and sent to NVC. Maybe 2 weeks max. One week if they are waiting to send in bulk and one week for mail. Logging into the system for a case number should only take a couple of days. shrugs: drives me nuts sometimes because my job involves working with large amounts of data and processes and I'm always mentally evaluating how long something should take. IMHO, this process screams poor systems, inefficiencies and/or lack of resources.

I am currently waiting for NVC case # also. I was reluctant to call bc the I-797 specifically states do not make contact unless it has been more than 30 days. But so many people have said that they recieved their number by calling within 10-14 days and NVC was not rude about it. So I gave it a shot. I called on day 14 and was told they had not received anything and that it could take up to 30 days. My next call was at day 20 and they again had not received my case from USCIS and that operator stated it could take up to 45 days. Its baffling why some cases get there in 10-14 days and assigned a number but others can take 30-45 days? Good Luck!

Before March it was about 14 days after that they have slowed down a bit and most is around the 3 weeks now some a bit longer.

They say if our case is on the way to the NVC then our status in USCIS website will change from " case was approved " to " case was sent to department of state " , is it correct ?

My case is already at Embassy level and the USCIS website never updated the status, it still says "Case was approved"
