Hi everyone. I was just wondering if during the USEM interview, would it affect our getting approved of the K1 visa if I was denied a B2 visa prior to that? I had my B2 visa interview on march 15, 2016 and I got denied due to lack of ties here in the Philippines. My fiance and I both decided that since we were already planning to get married anyway, to go ahead and apply for a k1 visa. Our original plan was to get married next year though. I had a J1 visa and that's where and when we met...during my internship in the states. Im really anxious about this whole process, being it i was just denied a b2 visa. It would be really devastating to get another denial.

It's different scenario. You will be fine. I was 3 times denied for tourist visa and my 4th time was granted then now my K1 visa is approved. Just always be honest & prove to the Consul that your relationship with your fiancé is bona fide :)

we have a lot of proof since I have stayed there for a year and we have been friends before we actually started dating. It's just that this whole process is really stressful.

Another question is would it matter though that he hasn't been able to visit me here prior to filing for the i-129f? We've had plans of him coming to visit this april, it's just that because of work he just couldn't. We work in the food industry you see, and the only time that he could've traveled here in the PH was january and february(which are the leanest months) unfortunately, that trip wasn't approved as well. And with the busy season picking up there might be no chance for him to visit. The last time that we have seen each other was november of 2015. I believe that still falls under the 2 year rule. It's just most of the couples ive read about on here have had their USC fiance come and visit prior and during the filing. AND one more thing...he is 4 years younger than I am..which kinda gives me another thing to worry about.

No worries about the visit or age. Just make sure you have plenty of evidence of meeting and bona fide relationship

Thank you so much! y'alls quick responses is making me less anxious. This site has been really helpful. Im just praying that we have met or even exceeded all the requirements for the initial application of the i-129f. I even included both our w2s and his ITR just for good measure! :)

that isn't needed. Look up the guides and do it after that one.

All go to April filers then you are with people at the same stage of the process as you and the PI forum for specific questions to that country/embassy.

Nope not yet. I have to wait for NVC sending my package to the Sweden embassy and then we'll get a mail from them so I can move forward with DS-160, visa fee and book the interview :)

My husband is 21 years younger than I, no need to worry. Age was never an issue in our immigration journey. A denied B2 won't matter either. Good luck!

Being denied a tourist visa is normal from the Philippines, no worries with that affecting your K-1 visa.
