Heidi - the same thing happened to me. I have my biometrics appointment on Thursday. I got the letter over a week ago, but I've had no updates online. No text or email, and my case status still just says they've received my application. Maybe they don't update with bio-metrics info?

Its not consistent. Someone folks get an emails some dont.

So, dont relay on emails.

We didn't receive any emails but we did get a letter. As long as the flow isn't broken, I'm happy with inconsistency.

Received my biometrics appointment letter on satuday 4/30. Issued 4/23 (my mail is slow). Appointment date 5/9.

No email notification or status update on USCIS either.

Just glad it's finally moving.

Hopefully the FBI check is quick as my field office's timelines for processing have increased dramatically over the last two years. As of April 1st, when they conducted an information event, the director informed they are currently working on November cases. So, it'll probably already be a close to 4 month wait from the interview to oath.

I just got a text message/email from USCIS saying my case was received.

My receipt# starts with IOE.

I went check the number on my USCIS-case status, it said that Bimetrics appointment was scheduled and mailed it to me on 4/28/16.

I cannot believe it is so fast.

checked my mailbox this morning-didnt receive NOA yet

but they cashed the $680

We just got text for case received. Entered receipt number (starts with IOE) to check status and it says our Biometrics Appointment was mailed on 4/28 (no, the case status update does not give the appointment date).

Seems crazy, because our packet was delivered on 4/28, biometrics mailed the same day? Hard to believe anything would happen that fast when it comes to immigration, lol. (Not complaining!!)

Check not cashed yet, curiously.

Form I-797C, Notice of Action received today in the mail. My receipt number starts with IOE.Notice Date: April 28, 2016. Received Date: April 26, 2016 Priority Date: April 26, 2016.

Can anyone update the tracker please. Thanks!

It'll make a difference at the interview. But won't make a difference at this early stage.

At the interview they will have to process the ROC first and then the N400. In fact filing the N400 before your ROC is adjudicated is seen as a way of speeding up the ROC.

So you may expect more questions about your relationship than others who have already removed conditions. Also unlike those who have already removed conditions, you may want to take your spouse with you in case the interviewer wants to see him/her for ROC processing.

I did not pay by check but by credit card via G-1450, but it took 14 days from receipt to charge. Priority date 4/4, charge finalized on 4/18.

All I had seen from others was payments processed within a week, so I thought it was a long time too. I started worrying about not having signed the G-1450 actually, but couldn't verify as I had only saved an electronic file and not made a paper copy of the signed one I sent out. Now, I'll never repeat that one again... copies, copies, copies are in my future from here on out ;-).

But maybe it puts your mind at ease a bit, that you are not the only one where payment seems to take forever.

Whew! I was getting worried, seeing the biometric appointments being posted and not seeing any movement on mine. The usual butterflies. But it seems I'm right along with the flow. Got the letter in the mail today, no text or email updates either.

Can confirm, case updates on Uscis.gov don't seem to happen at the biometrics stage. Janna just completed her biometrics today and the case is still stuck on "Case was received."

Should see some movement once NBC forwards packet to our local office.

Also, you can get free study materials and a DVD to help you prepare for the interview. If you're not offered, just ask for it.

Yeah, I was thinking of asking for the booklet. There are review materials online but I still find reading on actual paper better. =D
