Comments : There was quite a delay in getting our appointment letter. After 30+ days from NOA date, I called in and explained that we hadn't received any notice. A special request was made and within a week we had our letter and appointment time.

We were pleasantly surprised at the time it took to process after the appointment. We were expecting to wait towards the end of the year (by our estimations considering USCIS was backlogged with these applications). I guess they refocused their attention! :)

Event Description

Embassy Review : It was a long day for Janna. Arrived at the Embassy for the 8AM scheduled time (along with everyone else). Janna ended up being the last interview of the day – a good 4+ hours of waiting and listening to the other interviews. Can't complain about the waiting time, as the IOs were very thorough. Interview went very well, except that I forgot to include my W2 form in the financial support package. She received a 221g and was told to submit the missing document between 2-4PM in the '221g Box' at the Embassy. I emailed it to her, and the document was submitted on the same day of the interview (Nov/2). I promptly sent an email to the Embassy explaining the situation with hopes of getting an update. On Nov/12, I received a reply happily stating that Janna's visa had been issued on Nov/10. Pretty quick turnaround considering there were 3 observed holidays (& a weekend) in that timeframe. The process was as expected: very professional.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
