Hi, and welcome to this forum!

My husband is in the airforce and we got back to the U.S. in january from a 3-tour in japan. we didnt know that we can file concurrently, so we filed the i-130 first (in japan) and they approved it in march (i think...) and after that we filed the i-485... my i-94 expired april 10th. i only want the greencard , so i can stay with him, while he finishes his enlistment in the states and so i can go back to work... we are planing on settling down in germany in the future.

maybe i will get the biometrics letter today! :)

you could try a walk in for your biometrics!

april 1st: sent i-485 to chicago lockbox

april 4th: i-485 delivered to chicago lockbox

april 7th: "biometrics fee received and accepted"

april 10th: email notification of acceptance and routing to NBC for processing

april 11th: hardcopy i-797C in mail (notice date april 8th)

april 30th: received biometrics letter for: may 11th @ 9am

june 2nd: received interview letter for: july 6th @ 11.10am

july 6th: Interview day---no decision was made

july 13th: sent e-mail to congressman, asking for an inquiry on my case.

How exciting you got to be in Japan! How much longer does your husband have in? We are planning to move back to Europe as well! Still don't know when.

I currently can't drive so I already told my friend my appointment is next monday, I don't mind. But I didn't know I could do walk ins!

It don't matter when your 1-94 expires as long as they recieved the documents BEFORE it expires it's okie... By the looks of your timeline everything was recieved before it expires... I went via a lawyer filing mine cause my had expired which meant I was out of status... My lawyer said its not a big deal I just had to file an extra piece of paperwork along with my documents that put me back in status

Hello guys, I still have just that they received everything, but the online status hasn't changed and don't have my biometrics letter yet either.
What is the next step? Getting biometrics letter, then the appointment and then EAD and AP??

What's the average waiting time for EAD? I really want to apply for a job already :)

Thank you, I'm just curious. :)
