Why are people nopt being sympathetic to their situation? After spending so much money, time and effort, imagine how frustrating it must be? Yeah maybe the CO had a right to deny if they were suspicious, but for a minute it is nice to put each other in the other person's shoes.

I'm sure people here are sympathetic, but what the OP needs is what has been given. Good advice on how to proceed, no amount of sympathy will help the OP be reunited with loved ones.

People are sympathetic to the situation, at least I am. But the thing that we that have been on VJ for a little bit understand and have seen many many times is that whenever you bring pictures from a traditional "engagement" ceremony to the interview. They are almost always 99% of the time seen by the CO as a wedding ceremoy. This has happened in Africa, India, and other Asian countries. So it is very common to see on here where people are denied because of that very reason alone.

It is sad and it sucks but that's the truth. So trying to get a attorney and fight it is ill advised at this point. It will just draw out the process, cost alot of money, and do nothing. All the while the OP can get married and file for a new petition in the mean time.

No I totally get that and that is the honest truth and good advice, but if you read other people's comments it's like woah.
