Hey Frank....thanks Work days have been hectic and a bit frustrating so I have not been on regularly. I actually estimated around that time too....once there's no dreaded checklist

Looking to visit my husband for our anniversary in April but him getting a job kinda foils our plans....I'm happy for him so I don't wanna sound selfish by saying our plans are subtly ruined but...I always take things in the positive way and appreciate them for what they are.

My case status still saying NVC.anyidea when it should b change

When you get your interview scheduled and they send off your casefile to embassy (Usually 2 to 3 weeks before interview). It will change to IN TRANSIT then when it arrives at the embassy and scanned in it changes READY.

Hello,

My husband just sent the AOS and IV packages to NVC yesterday, so today I'm just clicking the USPS tracking status every hour to see whether it reached NVC yet or not.

I hope he put all the docs in order in those packages! I hate not being in charge! Yes, I'm a little bit of a control freak

Anyway, we're hoping to get CC sometime in March, I guess.

for the DS-260...if we don't remember the phone number to the previous employer and we can't find it through google (company closed down)....what do we put for phone number? I called NVC and they said to put N/A or all 0000 but will that cause any problems? she didn't sound too confident when she was telling me.

I doubt that form takes alpha characters where is asking for digits. If they are out of business, make up a number, if it takes zeroes, do that.

The forms has some smarts buillt in.

Ok, I'll put all zeros. Hopefully, they won't see that as incomplete. Do they actually call to verify the number?

Dont you have any phone number for your previous employer? They dont expect you to keep tabs on their phone number. I have listed the phone number which i remember, i didn't go online and got their new phone number.

I doubt they call to verify unless your file raises red flag even at that case they wouldn't call your previous employer they will call you :-p

I do not believe so, I believe they cross reference your information against databases similar to credit bureaus for verification purposes.
