It's not quite so rosy when you are already in your 60's, sadly...

Exactly. And life is precious. Time is precious. No one knows how much we really have left!

We usually see each other every three months but because of our visa process dragged out at NVC, we haven't seen each other for eight months now and we're both going crazy. :crying: Never knew you could long for a person this much.

Hang in there, this process will be over one day.

Not long now, mallafri76! I'm excited for you because your journey has been long and difficult.

I haven't seen m husband since December 27 and it already feels like forever. I'm fortunate I can visit very often (usually every 6 weeks) due to my work. But we are facing a longer gap now.

Once we get to NVC stage I'm going to be too nervous to go, I think. Even for work.

I haven't seen my husband in a 1 year, 5 days.

It's been a rough road, I'm just thankful for my interview coming up next month. I need to be with my man, I miss him sooo much, I never knew what it was like to love someone wholeheartedly and with truth until I met my husband.

Cant wait to be in his arms.

You've been blessed to have a smooth process thus far.

I'm sure they will schedule you soon enough, hopefully for March 2016..

I've been with my husband since mid 2011 and we got married on may 2012. Because we knew the length of the process we rather to wait to get married once we knew we could be together in the US so we file for a fiance visa. We used to see each other every 3 months but we Skype, talk and text everyday several times per day.

It was tough because in several occasions I had to take him to the airport (I never visited him cause I didn't have a tourist visa) so it was literally heartbreaking. I cried all the way back home, plus all the special moments we could't be together: my college graduation, our birthdays, holidays etc. But after 4 years living together and married we truly appreciate all those hard days cause our relationship grew stronger and our commitment was better than ever. The day I got the k1 visa (he came to the interview) we screamed, kissed and cried together but the day I ran into his arms in the miami airport was the best day of my life.

Although we've come along way from those days it really made us appreciate our time together even more, we take care of our marriage so much... we learnt not to take anything for granted

I always tell people that this kind of process can bring you closer together or tear relationships apart.

I know it's hard but it so so so rewarding!!! I wish you the best and hope you guys can be together soon.
