Congratulations! I did this and when I clicked on the button to turn the alert on, I didn't see it click by changing color or anything. It just looked the same so then I became concern whether the alerts were turned on or not. Do I need to access the website on my laptop?

On a computer there is a Y/N indication under the email/phone part.

Unsure about on a phone.

But it will be evident on a computer

Yea I think its only available from a laptop, because I don't remember seeing it on the phone app. I know when I was on the page on my computer, you had to click the check box next to you receipt number and then click to turn it on. Let me know if that works for you.

Hello all! This is my first time posting, but I've been reviewing these forums for months to help with our filing process. My fiancé is Canadian and I'm in Seattle. We filed on January 19th, and got our NOA1 on January 26th. Now we just get the play the waiting game.

Thank you to whoever posted the suggestion re: registering on uscis.gov. I didn't realize that was an option and love the idea of mobile alerts!

So if you haven't already done this, go to the USCIS.GOV site and create your account. Once you create it, log into your case. When you scroll down about the middle of the page you should see you case number. Next to that if should give you an option to turn off and on your notification for Email and Phone text. I am glad I did this, because I got notified 11pm last night of my approval of the application(which should be the NOA2). Just want to share that with everyone else.

I looked at that, but got stuck on the very first question...

I'm the USC Petitioner... but the Petitioner filing XYZ options don't seem to apply. Should I select in this case, Applicant? Does it even matter?

Are you the US Petitioner or Beneficiary and which did you pick?

I only included my birth certificate and not copies of all pages of my passport.

Another one though that I didn't think about was that I didn't specifically state we would be marrying in the state of California (same sex couple here) and apparently they issued an RFE in 2015 to a couple for not stating the state. I just didn't think it was necessary since it's a reasonable assumption from my letter of intent and also a safe assumption I'd be marrying in my current state where I live, work and own property in :rofl:

Crossing my fingers big time we don't have an RFE! :thumbs:

As of June last year, the Supreme Court said it's the law of the land.

As of June last year, the Supreme Court said it's the law of the land.

That was exactly my rationale.

I just went back to that RFE list and that RFE was issued April 2015 - Yay!! I feel much better now :)

Yes of course, that will be great. Very nice to meet you. I live here in Houston, Texas. I must say that I have learned so much about immigration processes and I have a newly found respect for those that have endured this process. Our hearts do not care about race or culture or another country. It's amazing how love finds us in the not so obvious places. I'm excited and I'm so glad to have true love!

Oh wow, I didn't realize you were in Texas. We definitely have to meet up and celebrate once the fiancés arrive. I also want to talk and discuss with you your plans for the wedding and get ideas. The long distance is a challenge. We have managed to set in place some non-negotiables that we must do each day and that's spending time together at the beginning of our day and the end of our day. We also get excited when we are going to meet in person. That gives us something to look forward to. My birthday was Valentine's Day and so he has made plans to meet me in Jamaica for spring break in March to celebrate. I work in education so I'm off for a week in March. I'm looking forward to seeing him because it's been 8 months since we met. I will inbox you so we can talk more. Thanks!

There is another tool to use that you can use and they are the mobile app.
