I understand the 1 year, but what i dont understand is she said its good for 1 year but they want accept it if its 3 months or less , someone from jamaica ask a question about police certificate

I had the same issue at my interview in Sweden last Monday. The police cert is valid for a year and you have to POE before that year is up. I guess if it's less than three months on it at the time of your interview, they feel it's too tight and they won't issue the immigration visa with that shorts timeframe

Hey all, just a quick question: my interview is in just under three weeks, and so I was just wondering when the NVC are expected to send out our case file to the consulate?

I know it isn't something to worry about, but I guess we're just control freaks that way.

They'll send it to the embassy about two weeks before your interview. About a week before your interview, you'll get a letter from the embassy with what kind of things they want you to bring to the interview.

It looks like I'm the one from Nigeria with a CC in December that is yet to be scheduled for interview. Could it be due to my visa category? My category is EB3

I honestly wouldn't bring that much. The interviewer only have a certain amount of time to go through your evidence, so no need to put too much. I had my interview today and I had brought loads of emails, about 50 pages worth of email logs, lots of phone records and some other stuff. Then I had put together a small binder with a summary of proof, like 10 email conversations, phone records from two separate months, some cards my husband has sent me, log of all my trips to see my husband plus a power of attorney I hold for my husband. You only have this little space to slide the proof through, so it's not like you can fit much. My interviewer only looked at the summary binder I had. I told him I had this other proof too but he never asked to look at it.

Honestly, I think they've already made up their mind after reading the case they got from NVC, and then they just want to ask some more questions in the interview and see a little evidence that you can talk about, to see that their assumption whether to grant a visa or not was correct. They're not gonna read through 200 pages worth of emails, they just wanna see a few samples to get a feel for your relationship.

Thank you mallafri76! I'm also organizing all the papers in 2 binders and making sure I have everything on the checklist :) You know, I'd rather have more than not having enough to prove. We didn't send them any proof of relationship, except for the lease agreement that we had when we were living in Scotland, so I'm not sure if they really made up their mind when it comes to us...

Hi VJers !!!

Please I need your advice...I´m getting desperate

My interview was November 25, I got the approval but I couldn´t leave the passport because next week (December 3) I went to Cancun where I met my husband for our 1st wedding anniversary trip.

The official who attented the interview understood the situation and told me that when I come back to my country, I can send my passport to the Embassy through DHL.

I did it, and Dec 9 I went to DHL to send my passport. Embassy received it the 10th.

Since that moment I go daily to CEAC and my case is in Administrative Processing and they are updating our case every day but we don´t get the "ISSUED"

I have written them twice and I don´t get any reply...

What can I do?

Please some advice will be very veeeery appreciated !!!!
