Would you guys agree that waiting for CC is worse than those who have a CC and are waiting for an interview date? I guess, it is a difficult question since we are not in the shoes of those who are waiting for an interview.

But in my opinion that this stage is more difficult since we don't know if we are going to get a checklist...and if we do, how long is that going to take to get reviewed, and in some cases some people get a second checklist. Ugghh... this is too difficult!!

NVC ... just give us our CC NOW!!!!!!! :crying::cry::crying::cry:

GOD please give me strength, but mainly patience!!

I think I can relate to what you describe. I think what makes it even harder is when you see more than one with the same scan date or scan date after you get CC and you are still waiting. That is tough.

I am worried that they are going to serve up a checklist for me.

So I just got off the phone with NVC and was able to get to our case and invoice numbers so happy. I called yesterday and was asked to wait 42 days but called again just now and its been assigned. On another note I have a question regarding the police clearance certificate. Is it ok to send a scanned copy to NVC and keep the original, I don't want to send the original to NVC and for it to some how get lost. Appreciate any input from you guys.

Way to go! No, you do not send original PCC to NVC, only send photocopy. Take original of PCC to interview. Remember to make sure the PCC is still valid, meaning not expired and reflects correct name and passport number, etc, depending on your country's PCC.

If you guys have any questions specifically for me,

I will be glad to help via private message.

Send the copy. Keep the original for the Embassy.

Send copies of all civil documents to NVC, original should be brought to the Embassy.

Called back again today. Was told again things are taking 30-45 days. Asked to speak to a supervisor. She said one wasn't available but the supervisor told her that 30 days actually meant 30 business days?!? And then was shocked when I said that all the communication I had received from them and what was on their website just said 30 days. If you mean 30 business days, specify 30 business days!! Anyway I asked for a callback and she noted to call during hours I would be awake in Australia.

How long is reasonable to wait for a callback?

Thank you I only just got it, September 1 to be precise so it should still be valid by the time I submit. I notice you mention about the passport number being on it, however what is issued by my country only includes a name, photo etcso hope this is not an issue. Hopefully I can breeze through this process as fast as you guys have.

It took us 4 days from DS-261 to receive IV bill. We also called to review DS-261 over the phone. I thought 4-days was very fast for the fee to open up! I don't remember reading about a 24-hour window at NVC for practically anything...

Of course, if you're worried I recommend calling again! The hold time is worth it for peace of mind!

I filled my Ds 261 back in 8/19 and it is not reviewed yet. I already sent in both the aos and iv documents and I m still waiting for the Ds 261 to be reviewed. Every time I call they tell me to wait. Edited by Hassan&Amina

I think this is nvc mistake. kindly help me what should I do to rectify! should I send an email along with my passport page. or should I send a physical mail. calling nvc seems difficult to reach through. any suggestions and if I email to which email Id I send. any suggestions?
