Thank you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I really hope I can get an early February interview date!!

OK, so heres the deal for us Montreal consulate goers.....

Get your consulate number from the NVC... you can then track it. it will say 'Ready' when it has gotten to the consulate. There will be two update dates. After the second update on "Ready' status that means the consulate has processed it and you may now e-mail your package 3 to Montreal. You do NOT need to wait for your physical package 3 which may or may not ever come in the mail. It's only two pages which looks like you have already looked at. The documents you more than likely need to have are the following:

passport valid for 6 months after entry date

birth cert

police cert (which u can get online for 20 bucks if ur in the Toronto area)

evidence of petitioners domicile in the states (rental agreement and whatnot)

Affidavit of support (Form I-134) with supporting documents

Evidence of relationship

2 photographs (youll need more for the medical as well)

letter of intent to marry signed within 30 days

Form DS-160

now.... there are other forms which can be filled out which are not on this list but you should mainly follow the package three list.... there will be more on package 4!! (which is what i was referring to)

the moment you e-mail them package three you will get an e-mail back within 24-48 hours with your package 4. fast right? then we can book our interview..... unfortunately they are now into February for interview times!! So hopefully we will get to the consulate asap.

All of my information was gathered from a girl from this site who literally just went through all of this a month ago. She is now in the states and doing well and now married as of last weekend :) If you need any more info I'll be happy to help

Ok so quick question and confirmation: I'm reading the USTravedocs website as it lists everything by country which is very helpful since each consulate has their own way of doing things.

It says once approved the I-129f is valid for 4 months: so if I'm calculating correctly our petition would be valid until Feb 31 (Since we received our NOA2 on Oct 31).

Does this mean that I must complete everything and do the interview by this time? Or does it mean I must arrive in the US by this time?

I'm looking to arrive in the US around April as I'm a teacher and our school year finishes in March. I don't want to leave before because I want to complete the school term with my students so they can transition smoothly into the next school year.

So should we request another 4 month extension to prolong the application?

It's not the I-129F that's valid for 4 months, the NOA2 is. Look: http://dennyeyberg.wix.com/filipino-am-visa#!noa-2/ceqw

That is correct, if you receive the NOA2 on Oct. 31 you have until Feb. 29ish (hehe only 29 days of Feb next year :D ) to complete everything and get an interview before it expires.

If you plan to enter US after your NOA2's validity, others had been saying that you can ask the embassy to extend its validity during the interview. One isolated case (so far here on VJ) where a person from Canada wasn't allowed to enter US by CBP officials because her NOA2 has pass its validity despite her visa having an expiration date of 02/04/2016. Haha I totally forgot that February is a short month. Thanks for the links. So I need to secure an interview by Feb and if not request an extension. - gotcha. Thanks.

Hey guys. So it appears the workers at CSC are a bit harsh.. We got an RFE for more primary evidence. Thing is, I'm actually living with my fiance in England at the moment so we don't have flight tickets of our first meeting wasnt abroad he's been in UK for 3 years !!! We provider a statement to explain but they want another one to specify dates and also his military orders to state he has been in England.

It's a little annoying because it seems silly that we gave everything but I guess they need to follow rules ! At least it's a quick fix because we can get what we need today!

Need a proper catch up on here but hope everyone is well and getting those NOA2's! Xxx

I am the beneficiary originally from UK !!

Sorry about that. My fiancé is also in the military and we also lived together in Japan. We sent a copy of his military orders, a copy of the SOFA stamp in his passport, hotels receipts that we've stayed at together whenever we went out of town, his housing lease in Japan as well as utility bills with his name and address. Our pictures together also showed us in front of different Japanese cultural landmarks. We also sent a copy of his new orders since he's no longer in Japan. We didn't get an RFE so I guess that was more than enough evidence for them.

Try sending some of those, I'm sure it should be ok after that :-)

Ahhhh brilliant! Thanks for the advise! We're going to do another statement, orders, photos and utility bill. Hopefully that will be enough. Just frustrating that we DID do a statement with dates !!! but maybe not specific enough?! Thanks again though!

Thanks Dutch - is your RFE fixable easily? We should be able to send off our evidence tomorrow (I am sorting at work today) - so fingers crossed NOA2 round the corner.

Yeah :) We needed to provide information about Okcupid.com to prove its not an international marriage broker. We were prepared and we send out the reply the next day. Its already been received by USCIS now so I'm hoping to get the approval very soon.

Haha yes! We can have a little party in the line outside the line outside the consulate! I'd love to know the info for the doctor and the hotel! If you do t mind me asking, how much is the medical? Man, this process is expensive (but worth it!)
