If the case status says "Ready" does that mean that it's now at the consulate? Is the next step to wait for Packet 3 to be mailed to me?

Yes, "Ready" usually means it's at the consulate. Check with the forum specific to Japan or with the consulate's webpage on the next steps. Each country is different and has their own process.

Best of luck to you. :)

Just right on time Chuck & Rosana!!! Congratulations to you!

I wanna share a summary of my experience with my Medical at SLEC - Manila, Philippines.

November 24, arrived 3:30 A.M. - Number 16 on queue - finished around 10:30 AM

November 25, arrived 6:30 A.M. - Vaccinated around 9 A.M. - Releasing around 11:00 AM. - Like WoW! I should've arrived earlier.

I finally got my envelope, which I will hand carry on my interview day.

It could be case to case, but since the clinic is pretty full this quarter, better be early if you don't wanna spend the whole day in the clinic.

Good Luck everyone!

Hey everyone, hope y'all had a blessed Thanksgiving. Seems like a lot of people have interviews this coming week, best of luck to everyone!

It would be really cool if we can tally up how many people are at each stage, because there will come a time when someone without an interview yet is going to freak out thinking she/she is the only one left. So if you think this could be helpful, please just tally your self into the list below:

It's best to ask those questions in the Japan sub-forum as you have done. They are better equipped to help as most here are "wading" through the process just like you and may or may not know the answer. Keep in mind, some processes are different for each Embassy.
