For an IR-1 or CR-1, plan on 10-12 months from the time a petition is filed (you file a petition, not apply for one) to the time an interview takes place.

Current USCIS and State Department procedures have rendered the K3 virtually unobtainable; the actual issuance of one in this day and age is a rare occurrence. Don't waste your time pursuing it.

Hi Ryan,

We already filled I-130 and got our NOA1 on 23rd April 2015.

Than we filled I-129F and got NOA1 on 02nd June 2015.

Than I-129F got transferred to CSC on 18th June 2015.

Than I-129F again got transferred to TSC on 30th July 2015.

Can you please help me to understand why so much transfer and when I can expect any of my petition to be transferred to NVC?

Thanks!

Your petition won't be transferred to NVC until you receive your Notice of Action 2. This can take a few months - perhaps 6 or so.

Good luck

I-129F are sitting at TSC going on 8 or more months. Where is your I-130? NSC or CSC or yikes Vermont? You probably have some waiting to do. And pray they don;t hold up your I-130 because yourI-129F is sitting. I have seen that happen. Many you go the route you did just delayed themselves even further.

Just sit back and study the NVC stage to prepare for your CR1/IR1 route that your I-130 Petition will take.

Man that's odd for a I-130 to go to TSC. So your receipt # starts with SRC? Well They transferred your I-129F so it will be with your I-130. That's how they do now. So instead of getting a quick approval at CSC they saw you had a I-130 on the books and transferred your I-129F. TSC is truly being called the black hole sorry. I don't know of any I-130's there so don't know.

Processing stats for I-129F say they are working on December 21, 2014

Really right now there's nothing you can do. You haven't passed normal processing. it's only been 4 months. Transferring of petitions happen. All you can do is sit back and wait. Why be concerned nothing has happened that is wrong. Just be patient it will come.

I am concerned because when we filled petition for I-129F, we sent everything from I-130 with letter saying we are sending everything for 130, the person handling our case got confused and rejected I-129F and I-130(this 130 they resubmitted and rejected saying we didnt gave amount for petition) , after contacting Visa Centre they told to resubmit 129 with a letter of confusion that happened.

This 129 got approved, than transferred to CSC and than TSC.

Now we have 1 set of I-130 and I-129F that are in process and other set which got rejected due to confusion.

Hey shahmalhar.

I am one of those unfortunate who got stuck at the TSC! :(

Anyways, we got our NOA1 on 21st of January and we were approved on 6 of July!! 5.5 months!

It was so frustrating because everyone from other service centers who filed even after me were all getting approved, but I was not.

But, it is what it is. Keep faith and more importantly, keep patience. You will eventually get approved. In my opinion, it will still take a few months. So sit tight, stay strong and hope for the best.

Good luck!

Thanks Urvashi for giving hope.

This is really a tough time, staying away from my wife.

Oh don't mention it. I have been through this thing so I know how horrible it is. Waiting and waiting for 5 whole months is so excruciating. But, the good thing is, you will get through it. No matter how crazy it feels right now.

I was going crazy myself. But my husband visited in June for 2 weeks while we were waiting so that helped a bit.

Buckle up, it's going to be an emotional year. And do not lose hope.

Prepare for a year, and we all hope it is not 16 months, or more.

This really takes patience, so be prepared for a long wait, hope you can visit her, or her you.

Good luck on your journey, hope it is less than I think it might be.
