Hey All,

We just got our I-130 and I-485 approved.. The interview was a little indifferent for us and not the kind of experience everyone posts here. But, nonetheless, my case status updated to say "On October 29, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSC1591******. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by December 28, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later."

We are still celebrating our success and I will post a detailed interview experience in both this thread and my timeline as well.. :D

It's hard, but be patient and be prepared with all documents for your interview! :)

Your priority date seems like it would be close to mine, so I think you EAD shouldn't be too far from being approved. Sometimes the approvals don't go in order, they can be a bit crazy. If you haven't

Hi guys,

I just got status updated that our EAD approved this morning. I filed AOS for overstayed visa parent on 8/27.

Does anyone know if your application wont get REF after EAD approval?

My parent had to retake fingerprint twice, Houston office. I dont know how it's going to happen for I130 and AOS.

Hey All,

Yesterday, I received my Form I-551 also known as "Green Card" in my mailbox! Holy moly, the sheer security features built into the card makes you feel like you have gained access to something out of the world! I have to thank The Almighty, for getting me here under such short amount of time! :innocent:

We couldn't have done it without the extensive guidance from this forum and all its members. Thank you all, I will be sure pass this on to everyone in this forum as much as I can..

Say strong people, we will all get there eventually! :)

EAD was finally approved today and ordered for production (Day 79)!!! So excited!

First they posted that the card was ordered for production, and then the status changed to say that the case had been approved. Hope that's normal. Anyone else have the same status change?

That happened to me. I also got EAD first and then approval notice ?

On November 3rd, I called USCIS and opened an approaching regulatory time frame service request for my I-765 as it had been 85 days since they received my application.


Today, day 88, I received an RFE for my I-485. I expect the letter in the mail next week.

They recived my RFE docs on the 23rd Oct so looks like my EAD wasn't delayed by that much! :)
Now just waiting for an update re: an interview date!

AOS Timeline:
August 29, 2015: AOS package mailed to the USCIS in Chicago.
August 31, 2015: AOS package delivered.
September 8, 2015: NOA1 received by text and email (4 receipt numbers).
September 12, 2015: NOA1 received by mail (3 receipt numbers).
September 14, 2015: NOA1 received by mail (1 receipt number).
September 18, 2015: Biometrics appointment letter received for October 1, 2015.
September 22, 2015: Biometrics done. Early walk-in at a different ASC.
September 30, 2015: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.
