I actually had one of those apps for my Nintendo DS four years ago-Love Plus! The Japanese government banned it, as they are worried about the decline in population. It's a collectors item now.

With the DS game you can choose from 3 females to try and date (all 3 of different ages and socio-economical backgrounds). You, the player, are assigned the role of a high school boy. Each day you have to assign how much time you will divide to the 3 activities of studying, working at your part-time job, playing tennis in the school tennis club. Depending on your choices you get points, and each girl will react differently upon your decisions over time management. You might gain the privilege of being able to text one of them, you might be allowed the right to attempt to hold her hand in public!

If you work hard, you can have a "dream sequence" whereby the object of your desire is in some kind of coma/sleeping, wearing a wedding dress. You have 30 seconds or less, to caress her by stroking the screen of your Nintendo with your finger(?). Each time the screen is stroked a heart appears on the screen...

It's weird. Maybe I'm just saying this because I'm 40 and officially an old man now but I like how a real woman feels too much.

Young guys feel too much pressure. They have to work long hours and their salaries are ####### compared to say America. Initiative doesn't accrue money here. It is very much a country in transition. Such a big jump after WW2. Many guys in their 20s can't be bothered moving out of their family home-their mums will bend over backwards to accommodate their needs -cooking, washing etc.

Young females can work and don't need the financial support of a husband-they would be forced to quit their job if they got married and had kids. Plus the male's salary isn't so great so the woman would have to make lots of self sacrifices -only old women here are prepared to make those.

Space is limited so young people don't want to have kids ...
