Congrats to everyone who recently got their NVC number!! ^_^

I've been reading from the shadows the last few days but I figured I would come out and say hi.

My fiancee's NOA2 was September 21st but up until today NVC says they havent received the paperwork yet. I called USCIS to check and verify they did send it to NVC or see where the paper is but they say they cant formally look into it until 30 days have passed :P.

Does anyone know of any "magic" words to use so that USCIS can look into it and see where the paperwork actually is?

I got our case number 45 days after approval.. It seems getting slower now. But you can call USCIS and let them connect you to Tier 2 agent, they are the one that can look up your case specifically. If they won't connect you hang up and call again until you find an agent that will connect you to Tier 2..

Wanting to know... Anyone had experience in relation to Armed Service records? I got my Record of Service from Central Army Records Office (C.A.R.O) but it is in Disc format, I don't believe they do paper records any more, but I have been told, not by Consulate, they require hard copy originals...

Cheers.. Keep the good news rolling in for all.. Thanks in advance for any assistance

by "paperwork is ready to zip off.." Do you mean send out to Sydney? or just tick off your list or something. I was under the impression that you take the paperwork with you to the interview except for the one thing you do online and take the confirmation page with you. Just want to make sure I am on the right page and not missing anything :)

On VJ Embassy Info for Sydney I found the following:

The forms required to be returned to the consulate from packet 3 has changed recently... As of 21/03/2014 the packet 3 requirements for immigrant visa are:-

1. Form DS-160 – Confirmation page only

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/forms/ds-160--online-nonimmigrant-visa-application.html

**DS-160 replaces all of the following forms DS-156, DS-156K, DS-156V, DS-157, DS-158 and DS-3032.**

2. Form I-134 — Affidavit of Support

3. Form DSL-1076 — Applicant’s Statement of Readiness to be Interviewed

*NB:- The DSL-1076 may still inform you that you are required to return DS-156 and DS-156K but this is NOT required as it is replaced by the DS-160.

You must also complete the checklist and compile all documentation relating to your application which are included in the DSL-1076. (Remember to include photocopies if requested)

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/australia/39176/pdf/dsl-1076.pdf

So based on the above I need to send the 3 forms/documents as soon as possible to get appointment scheduled.

Is it a big deal if the employment letter is not on a letter head. It has all the contact details.

Our Case is in Transit to the Consulate.

My question: Do you have to wait for Packet 3 and 4 or if you have all the documents you need and you do medical/pay visa fee, can you go ahead and schedule the interview?

Hello !!!,

we are starting to get all documents needed but i have a few questions about the affidavit of support if anyone can help us !!!,

1. by the time we might get the interview my fiance will only have 5 months at his job , will be better or necessary a Co-Sponsor?

2. he didn't filed taxes as he was living abroad , and was making less of the amount IRS requires to file .. with a sign letter will be enough ?

3. is it necessary the birth certificate or copy of all passport pages of Co Sponsor ?

thank you again, for all the support and help thru all this procedure !!!! (L):joy::)
