Hey everyone!

For those of you who have already gotten your case number from NVC, has your case left NVC yet?

I know it usually takes only a few days for NVC to send out the cases to the embassy.

Mine has been sitting at NVC for 6 days. I keep checking to see if it's left NVC but it's still there. Hopefully they will send it out soon.

It usually doesn't update until you get your actual approval. Don't worry, you'll get yours soon!

Congrats to those getting their NOA2!

If it makes you feel any better. My application was received on Aug 13th and my NOA 1 date is Aug 17th and my application status still says 'Application received'. I check the status of my application like a 100 times a day. From checking the app, I can see there are other applicants in the same boat as me. It is disheartening that people whose applications were received on the same date or after my application got approved. But as Greenbaum said, there is no rhyme or reason to how USCIS works on cases. Some cases get approved faster than others. I am learning to take a deep breath and just let the process take its course. Even then I am hoping for an approval one of these days, God willing.

Yes , makes you think if you did anything wrong, i keep researching reasons why other applications after mine have being approved, or at least an RFC , SOMETHING, :cry:estimated time is 5 months, but when u see so many getting approved , u get so anxious , and yes just deep breath , and wait is what we can do ... at least we are on the same boat !

We know it takes about 30 days for the NVC to get our package. In that time what exactly can we do to prepare for the interview? Background check, etc...?

Try not to worry! (yeah, right Lol) Your approval will come. I felt the same way. I felt like they forgot about us or they were taking so long because they were going to reject our case. Not true. I don't know their way of doing things but there were so many people after us that got their approvals, even with RFEs, before us. It's hard to wait, not knowing, but you will get your answer! Good luck!

NVC has received my case and assigned it a case number. Case is still at NVC, now the real fun starts. I cannot believe it but my fiance will be here in a few weeks, just like we planned.

My case left NVC today! Everything is happening so fast, it's unbeliabable!!

I sent my application on August 3, got my NOA1 August 7, NOA2 August 20, NVC recieved my case September 15 and sent my case to the US consulate in my fiancées county today (September 22).

My fiancé is having his medical on October 1. I'm going to try scheduling his interview before that so that he can attend the interview right after he has his medical exam.

I'm so excited!

All we have left is for him to attend his merical, fill out the DS 160 and then pay the interview fee and we're all set!

I'm so excited!!! ❤️
