Talk to a supervisor,explain your problem to them. Those Document reviewers in NVC are used to only one type of document, if your Birth certificate not matches with the one they have it, they will issue checklist. It happened in my case as well with a PCC. Also check with NVC from which authority they expect you to get the birth certificate.

Supervisors might help, but still it will take time. It took 16days for me even thought I called them everyday for an update. This will take maximum 42days.

I just called the nvc again the rep said the want t see the bar code behind the birth certificate well i guess I gonna send it again bit it may take up to 42 days I will also request for an expedite due to my pregnancy I'm 5 month pregnant plus I have a babyboy 16 month who needs a lot of care, I'm getting a letter from my doctor today I'm really tired of waiting hope everything goes good .

I don't think it will take 42 days, when you have the document with you. Send the document soon, they might reply back quickly. Mean time send an expedite request with all the details. Its more than 4months, so I guess you have good chance to get it expedited.

Does it matter who mails in the AOS and IV document packets? Either the petitioner or applicant?

Did you send your both packets with just the AOS barcode or did you wait for the IV fee barcode?

Hey. I had the same question and I confirmed with an NVC operator that you don't need both cover sheets. Just the one from Aos would do.

So we called the NVC yesterday and got the invoice ID, paid the AOS fee last night, waiting to pay the IV fee now. They received my case on the 21st of July. The NVC agent said that everytime they get docs from us it will take them 30 days to review it. Ensure that everything is correct the first time you sent them in to avoid any unnecessary delays

guys, what is the best option to get to talk to a supervisor? I have been put in supervisor review now for my ds-260 review because they did not review in 30 days so now i have been punished by them for their mistake and am in supervisor review and it can take 42 days now.

every time i have requested to speak to a supervisor the first level operators ask what for, i say re: my ds-260 as its in supervisor review, they say it is too early and can take 42 days. I told them one i got the checklist for it and waited 30 days when others did not and now everyone in that category also has a cc and why mine is not reviewed, i need to know what i have done wrong or followed incorrect process please let me talk, then they put me on hold for few seconds to tell me no one is available. any tips how i can talk to a sup will be helpful and much appreciated. stuck here since may and not even at a cc and then am a lucky one to be from new delhi consulate so have a 2-3 month wait till interview

I think your fee's will be available in 4-5 days and I think you will get your welcome letter in 4-5 days as well.

UPDATE: received my case number and IIN on 8/10. Submitted D-261 same day, AOS fee want available, checked it this morning and it was available. Paid AOS today 8/11..... I know it usually takes 3-5 days for AOS to become available.

I guess I'm ahead because I still haven't received my welcome letter from NVC yet. ??

I sent both of our AOS and IV packets together in one package after I received and paid the AOS. They say that you do not need to wait on the IV fee. When you have all of your documents ready just send them all together in one package with the AOS and checklist cover sheet on top.

I called NVC last night waited forever then when I got the rep, I held the phone between my face and shoulder and fumbled for my August tab in my planner. She had just confirmed I had a case number and I wanted to write it on August 11's date... then my face hung up on her...lolololol :rofl:It was 11:30 and it told me they were closed back during 7 to 12. So I called this morning at 6:59 and at 7:03 was able to get case number and IIN (This time planner was already open to the date)...Whoopeee!

P.S. Ceac site doesnt recognize it yet but who cares... We got our number..so stoked! Happy Wednesday Y'all

I got through after saying i didnt know if my new i-864 was received or lost, and saying pleaaaaase please..

An operator told me last week that being put on supervisor review doesnt punish you : you can still get reviewed the regular way before a supervisor gets to your case, but i dont know if thats true.

Morning All,

My case was sent to NVC on 08/03/15. I called this morning and the rep said it was just received on 08/07/15 but it wasn't entered in the system yet. I know it's about 12 days after they receive it that I might be able to get the case number but is it 12 days from when It is put in the system or 12 days from when they actually get it?
