when will GC be mailed after the "New Card Is Being Produced" status?

Hi vjers,

I guess I'm being impatient but I'd just like to make sure I can have my GC in hand since our family is planning a trip abroad in early August. My case status is updated to "New Card Is Being Produced: On July 1, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us....."

Does it anyone know how long it usually takes for the actual card to be mailed to us after it's being produced? Will there be a tracking number updated on the case status?

p.s. My case simply jumped from "Case was received" to "New card is being produced" online. I haven't received any approval email nor physical mail.

You mean you've given them just 4 business days across a holiday weekend to both produce and deliver the card to your home? You really do need to be patient. For some it takes up to a month to receive their cards.

Thanks for the reply. Of course I don't expect to receive the card within these couples of days. I just would like to have a general idea about the time frame. As I mentioned my family is planning on a trip abroad in early August, meaning one month from now...If it takes up to a month to receive the card sometimes, I should then probably reschedule the trip to late August.... :unsure:

It took mine 13 days. It was ordered on June 24th. I got a text and an email that it was mailed on July 2nd. I got another text and email that the USPS picked it up on July 6th. The card was delivered yesterday July 7th. I'm guessing it must show picked up by USPS when it is picked up by/delivered to local post office. No way did it get here in 1 day from CSC.

So that sounds similar to the EAD card print & delivery timeframe.

Perhaps they are using the same system once it's approved.

Do not depend on the updates though. Some people receive all the updates, some receive some updates, some receive none at all. USCIS is spotty at best with this.

Just got an update on my case status:

Card Was Mailed To Me
On July 8, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxx, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by August 7, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
I guess next step is to wait for another update about USPS picks it up!

On July 8, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxx, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by August 7, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I guess next step is to wait for another update about USPS picks it up!

Got the same e-mail/text yesterday after the production e-mail/text on 7/1/15! Woo hoo! Told my wife and she was really excited and then started counting months and realized we can file for naturalization mid-October! Light at the end of the tunnel.

Got another update stating the post office picked up the mail containing the new card with a tracking number there. It's a priority mail 2 day.

Hence my quick question, do you have to have someone stay at home to sign for this mail or will they just drop it into your mailbox?

We're tracking the same path I see, just got the same text/e-mail, tracked it and said it would be delivered Saturday! Woo hoo! The first GC just showed up and nobody had to sign for it so I reckon it'll be the same with this one. Congrats to you too!
