I feel your pain! We are waiting for over 1 year and I know we will have to do another medical, which is not cheap. We are penalized for their delays :(

So finally great news! Online status says card was mailed. Yippieeeee! Over 1 year of waiting. :dancing:

Just FYI, our medical was expired (made in 2014) and we did not get RFE for a new medical. I was worried about that and it was fine. Finally wait is over until ROC :)

Hi,

We had our interview today and the officer said she would recommend for approval and I would receive the card in 15 business days. So I assume it was an approval on the spot. But who knows.

Hope we can receive the gc without any delays.

Congratulations! Hopefully your card will arrive in the next week or so and you can finally relax for (almost) two years until ROC :)

Hi All,

It's kind of early for this but, just in case, my EAD will be expired next month and I'm currently working (full time). I had applied for renewal for my EAD in May. And we had our interview last week. (7/28). So, if I don't get my green card in 2 weeks, I should probably start calling them. (Again!) But which one should I call on? The green card or EAD? or both? :) Are they keeping the EAD to see the interview results? I see there was a "soft touch" on 7/27. Status hasnt changed.

HR will ask for my work permit extension pretty soon. And if I can't show them, I might have to take some unpaid vacation or something. Which would be terrible.

Officer told us we would receive the green card in 15 days. I mentioned her about my current EAD expiration. She clearly said I would receive the green card well before that date so no worries. But I feel like we will have some delays. Online status hasn't changed yet.

It feels like there is never an easy way. It has to be always stressful and exhausting and at the last minute. :)

I have filed since July, 2nd 2015. I have had two initial RFEs which I replied to in the beginning of the process: one was a tax paper that was needed and the second was "the household size" which needed to be corrected. After both RFEs the EAD was approved and we received a letter for NOPIW dated October, 11th. Ever since then the case had been pending. In May we decided to file for a service Request. We received the generic mail stating "The case is still pending consideration". At the beginning of June, we received an RFE asking for an English translation of the birth certificate and also page 9 of the form I-693 is not completed. Including in the letter, they stated that the medical would expire soon by June 23, and I had until August to reply to this RFE. Basically, from my understanding, if I reply to this RFE before my medical expires all I have to do is make sure my Civil Surgeon completes the part he did not check-mark, I immediately went back to my civil surgeon. The civil surgeon check marked the part that was not completed, stamped it and sealed it for me. I also went to the Embassy and had an English translation of the birth certificate (which I had already submitted during the initial AOS process). I mailed the RFE back on June 10th which was a Friday. It was received on Monday, june 13. Up until now I have not had a response yet. To follow up, I submitted two other service requests for the month of June and July-nada. All I get as an answer was, "the case is pending consideration". It has been over a year now. Has anybody else been waiting for this long?
