how long does it take to complete the case after submitting DS260? processing IR2 here :)

I think normal processing is 30 days I believe people have stated.

Hey dwheels76, you're an absolute angel - you've made such a difference in the lives of people who are already going through a difficult situation. My only regret is that I didn't discover these threads a year ago, BEFORE I shelled out an indecent sum of money to a lawyer who, as it turns out, we really didn't need. So, thank you :)

Just saw CC on the CEAC website on July 4th, haven't yet called to confirm the actual CC date, but 3 N/As so I'm pretty sure I'm done with NVC - whoop whoop! :)

Question, if you know: I looked at your CC to interview spreadsheet, and can see South Africa isn't a really busy consulate when it comes to IR1/CR1 (about one a month by the looks of things). I've read here before that NVC only schedules interviews in the first and last weeks of the month - is this true? So do you think I've missed the "first week of the month" boat and will now have to wait till the last week of the month? Any insight into the wait time for the South African consulate?

I know its so sad. This computer hack came at not a good time (when is a good time to hack). I know many have been waiting since way in June like you so sorry. I have a friend waiting fr Visa now his status says AP poor dear is freaking. I told him don't pay that status no mind. Just hang on.

Congratulations on CC and welcome aboard. Every embassy is different. Some embassies have not even started. Like Nigeria. Each embassy send their schedule of slots available to NVC and they start filing the slots. I know they started 6/24. It's been pretty quiet lately but some have popped up with interviews.

With so many issues with the printing of Visas many embassies just are so backlogged they aren't even started. I know I just heard on Facebook that DR is closed and have cancelled more interviews and rescheduling others.

So you never know. I tell people call NVC ask if they have started scheduling for your embassy. If not are they full for the month of August.

I'd be happy if it updates to AP. Ours has been stuck on ready for interview since before the interview. Even with the date being updated on 7/4 and 7/5.

Have heard they haven't started yet. Have you called NVC and asked if they have started or if August is already full?
