What happens in Texas?

You guys know how we send the initial i-129f application (packet) to the texas address? What happens there? What do they do? Do u guys think they actually look at the packet or do they just forward it to the local uscis office for inspection? Pretty interesting. Cuz they received mine on Wednesday and I got an email today (griday) that they received my application and are forwarding it to California center.

Not correct, at least currently. Most are all being sent to Cali now because of the backlog in Texas. I'm five hours south of Dallas, and mine was sent to California with everyone elses. To the very least, until the backlog catches up a bit no one should really be sent to Texas until Cali starts backlogging, then it'll just bounce back and forth between the two.

I'm sure they sent it to California because Texas is backed up really bad. Actually, I think they are on perma-vacation. Consider yourself lucky.

This is good for u .. TSC sends petitions to CSC to balance the workload. Now, you will wait for only two months to receive NOA2. TSC are very slow that they process petitions filed on November or December now. Dun worry this is for your own good.

I'm thinking he means at the lockbox specifically not the service center. They take your money and sent it to whichever center you belong, which at the moment is California for everyone. They are transfers from the Texas service center.....they're getting sent straight from the lockbox.

Honestly it's the same thing different name....just depends if you sent it certified mail or not. People don't realize that either. Either way, your petition never touched the Texas Service Center....No petitions go straight to the service center ever.

Both these address are the same thing, just different depending on how it's mailed, neither is the service center... They both take your money and sent it to whichever service is applicable. They are sorting facilities...assign the case number, and money takers.

Be very glad. They sent your petition to California.

You should be approved in 1/2 the time.

When your petition gets to Texas, same as all others. Then is forwarded to eith the TSC or the CSC. right now all is going to CSC, because of the backlog of petitions in TSC.

They open it, take your money, inform you, if you asked, and give your petition to an officer, or case worker.

I have heard this said, but I am not sure. It takes about 20-30 minutes to go over a petition, and ask for more info., or approve it, or deny it. This is not for sure, I just read it here.

You get your NOA 1 , like you did, now look for an NOA 2, start studying the guides section, top of home page, for the evidence you will need for the interview.
