Just called NVC and my case number was generated on the 18th! I couldn't give the rep my email though, apparently my case was 'locked' and she couldn't add notes to it. Told me to call back in about a week.

Yeah they told me my case was locked too... But didn't say anything about calling back, just to wait until I received the packet in the mail. Ugh...

NVC informed us that they are still not showing AOS as paid, we sent proof that it was three times and still nothing.

Apparently IV hasn't been issued and won't be issued while the case is on necessary administrate processing.

No estimates. Just the dreadful 'you have to wait' sentence.

We are now approaching 3 months since NOA2.

And then, the last few days were especially hard,

My mother in law passed away, the funeral is today, and I am not next to my husband.

Yeah I've thought about that, and almost wish they had just kept their stated review time at 60 days so those of us who went over our 30 day wait wouldn't feel so desperate now. The thing I have never understood about supervisor review - still don't! - is this: you go into supervisor review in the first place because THEY failed to review your documents by their own given timeline of 30 days. So they put you into supervisor review to 'speed things up', but then they tell you that the 'speed things up' supervisor review could take one and a half times longer than the acutal review time. It makes absolutely no sense and just feels like a punishment/stalling tactic to deal with their bottlenecks. I could be completely off the mark here, but when you're not given any real information or reasons for anything by the NVC themselves, the only thing left to do is wonder, suppose, speculate and imagine.

I may have mentioned this before, but just in case, I'll say it again: my ex-husband just petitioned his girlfriend to go to the UK on a spousal visa (they're not even married yet). From the time she submitted her application until the time she received her passport back with the UK visa in it, was FIVE DAYS. We have been in the USCIS/NVC system for two weeks short of one year already, and with everything that's going on right now at NVC and embassies, I doubt I will have my visa in my hand sooner than at least another three months from now. There is an enormous difference between five days and one and a half years - what's the problem???

Back in UK i used to work in a Immigration Law Firm. I think getting a visa is much easier in the UK. U don't have to go through so many things for this process. All u need to do is filling up the form, attach all supporting documents & payment together with the form and just sent it to the Home Office. In 2 weeks time you will receive a letter for the Biometric Enrolment and thats it. it will take a month or two and u will receive ur visa or a refusal. Still we were not happy about this. But now???

Too many processes for US visas. USCIS, NVC, AOS, IV, DS261, DS260, I864, I864a, Supervisor review, Checklist, Scan Date, CC, Interview Schedule, Interview, AP, POE.

OMG!!! Seriously ?

Oh no :( Sorry to hear this. But I've heard from others that once you send in your corrected documents after a checklist, they review them pretty fast. Here's hoping that happens to you to. Hang in there!

Condolences to you and your husband - sad news. So much harder to deal with when we are not where we need/want to be.

What's your SD? Have you even been able to send in your AOS and IV packet yet?
