I just realized I only got the case number (FRN#) and there is also an IIN number that might be useful on CEAC. Grr. I specifically asked if I needed anything else but the case number and they said no.

Oh well, I should receive a letter from the embassy soon anyway...

I have yet to figure out what the invoice number is used for. You don't need it for checking your CEAC status. I say don't worry about it.

I never got a letter from NVC either. Plus, no packet 3.... I emailed my packet 3 documents when the status said ready... and still no packet 4. I'm getting a little nervous as to why neither of us are not getting anything now

Congrats Bybbies!! I felt the same way when we were approved! like April said to me, ride the high!!!

Thanks, guys. Santy and his family were heartbroken and sobbing. Like don't they realize what they do to people like us? It's so hurtful. Then amnesty is a smack in the face... But that's a whole other can of works. They just shouldn't make it as terrible as it is for people like us. The jerks there wouldn't even interview them. They denied him before he could say anything. And he has a job and studies, too!! This whole process is really getting to us. It really is. Okay, enough of my ranting. Sorry guys!

Better news for today is our case FINALLY switched to AP on CEAC! We were one of the last 30,000 from the backlog that they were finishing today. Hoping we don't need any documents (I don't think we do!) and that we finally get the visa sent today. Only good thing of the last few weeks.

Well that was fast!! I used the inquiry form on Montreal's site around 1:30... I got a reply back at 3:48 telling me it was OK to schedule the interview and a link to packet 4!

Finally got his interview scheduled for August 12!!! We had to wait though July because he's going to be here most of the month!

I called around 4 pacific time. I plan on calling today at around the same time and will hope for a case number. I will let you know of course if I get one! I was sooo excited when he said he received it. I was starting to think that our files had actually been sent somewhere else.

This process really does drain you. It gives you every emotion on such a regular basis. Except the happiness one.

Yes, no happiness feelings are very rare in this process, but when they are there its worth all the bad emotions you experience!

Oh my goodness! Yours will be fast! As of Monday, the closest date at mine is early September. It's horrible. They do interviews one morning a week. But yes, we can book our own. So hopefully cancellations happen.

I think it will take a very long time to forget! But it will also make us appreciate the time with our future husband/wife even more than one normally would.

There's also only one day a week with interviews at this consulate I'm going to.

I hope that once we get to wake up next to each other for long enough, without the pain of knowing a goodbye is coming, that the memories will start to fade.

I wish they were more accommodating. Once a week isn't very often for the amount of K1 visa's been processed. And thank you. I'm hoping that will happen as well. I plan on checking every hour until I get one sooner, or until I have distracted myself enough and the original date shows up.
