For interview you will have to have certified copies. Photocopies will not do. I would start gathering those two things now while you are in wait mode at NVC so you will be ready come interview time.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

Please Please put your VJ member name only. Not nicknames or real names whatever your VJ name is. It's below your profile picture!!

My husband used laminate on his original. He had to go today and take the copies to get true certified copies from the courts.. he said in Nigeria that is ok, I'm like not in America.

Dwheels76, am I correct?

NVC nor embassy will accept laminated anything.

You already posted this question and you got answers. Go to the NPC in Lagos and go to the registry where you got married (if that's where you got married) and request a certified copy. Since the original is gone the have also have an original (usually most places have you fill out things in triplicate. So they make a copy of the original and put the official seal on it making it a certified copy of your original.

The NVC will need a physical photocopy of the marriage certificate, the original is to be brought to the interview.

So you got married in South Korea, at the Nigerian Embassy and now you are in Nigeria, right? Well, I would say, maybe call the Nigerian Embassy in South Korea where the marriage took place and tell them you lost your marriage certificate and you need a certified copy and what you are supposed to do to obtain one.
